Our hoover 600MB - water just flows straight through. Does not fill, just flows straight through. Not pumped out, just runs out of machine.

check the water discharge pump electrical connection . if connection is alright , change the control board .thanks.

NOTE: A 600 is not a fast spinner. towles and jeans etc do not come out very dry.
Helpful information prior to diagnose
Have you checked to see if the pump filter is blocked so that all the water can drain away.
Does the machine just stop with all it's water still in it.
Does the machine finish it's cycle.
Does all the water pump out, do you hear a sucking noise (means no water left) or a humming noise( means pump jammed)

It may be the belt is worn. can you hear the motor running. take off the back of the unit and look at the drive belt

Have a look for coins etc stuck in the drain pump or the tub outlet hoses especially where they fit onto the tub. If a coin or other foreign material blocks the water flow when draining , these machines wont spin properly.

Hi Steveb6723 ,Just read your posting.Now here is a little test I need you to preform so I can tell if the problem is your water valves or your pressure switch system.Now 1st turn it to a normal cycle and only select the cold fill.Pull the knob out so it starts to fill.Now turn the machine off at the power point,Does the water stop filling straight away?If it does select hot fill and pull the knob.When it starts filling on hot water turn the power off again and see if the water
stops straight away.Please reply and tell me if the hot or cold water continued to flow when the power was off.Looking forward to your reply.

If this machine has a motor that uses brushes, check them for damage, wear, or weak/distorted springs.

Check the lid switch for proper operation. If the switch is bad or not being actuated by the lowered lid, it will block operation of the machine.

the pump hose has to be above tub level or the water will run out
the dial control unit is faulty and if the parts are are available will cost up to $150.00 aud approx to buy
the leak under the machine could be from a tub to pump hose or water level hose up to sensor
how new is almost new as it seems you have inherited a lemon and not a working machine
