Re: water leak hotpoint wm55

Its most likely the pressure switch. Either the pressure switch is faulty or the small clear tubing connecting it to the drum has come off.. Thirdly there could be a blockage in the tubing..
The way it works is as the machine fill's with water the air that was in the drum forces up the tube, the pressure of the tube causes the switch to break therefore stopping any more water comming in.. ONCE this switch is BROKEN the the timer will move forwards.... YOu can access the pressure switch by removing the top panel (3 screws at the back) and the front panel (4 screws located near the soap draw ) then you have to remove the front panel with the door. then you can assess and resolve the situation.. The pressure switch is whitish you will see it has the clear tube attached and some wires...

My LG front loader is showing an "FE" error. The water seems to continue running into the tub, leaking out the door.

Good morning

I looked this up to make sure I was thinking the right way. The FE means there is too much water in the machine... lol bet you already knew that. Since water is actually coming out of the machine it looks like a bad fill valve. The plastic piece your hot and cold water lines hook into is not shutting off all the way.

I hope this helps

My Hotpoint Ultima keeps displaying an F10 fault and doesnt spin correctly. However, if I then switch it to a rinse and spin cycle it seems to spin OK.

F10 meanswater level pressure switch not sensing correctly, there could be a blockage in the switch hose or chamber, or the switch could be faulty.

Water leaking from Door and Draw from Hotpoint Aquarius Extra

Had the same problem. I unplugged the machine from the mains. pulled it out from the unit and removed the lid. checked the black rubber hose which leads from the drawer to the drum. it was full of water. i carefully squeezed the pipe and tried to clean it out with warm water to see if it was clogged. still leaking. i then Removed the green paddle on the inside and turned the drum to line up with the black rubber hose that leads from the drawer. I very carefully used a wire coat hanger to put through the gap in the drum left by the paddle. Moved left and right, oh look.... A sock! I manipulated it out of the gap, checked the hose. Water had gone. Put everything back together. No leak. All done in under an hour :-)

Even when not programmed to the washer/dryer fills up with water?

Check the water inlet valves, located where the water lines plug into the machine. Also check for proper water pressure and make sure that your water pressure is not surging. If this help please rate. Thank you

All washing machines have a solenoid valve for turning on and shutting off the water coming in, one for the hot water and one for cold. It sounds like one of them has a slow leak.

Try shutting off the cold water supply to the machine for a day and see if the tub fills with water. Next try shutting off the hot water supply and leaving the cold supply on. This will tell you which valve is leaking.

This solenoid valve is something you can buy from an appliance parts company. In some cases, someone handy may even be able to disassemble it and replace a washer that is leaking.

Until it is repaired, you can get by with shutting off the water supply when you are not using the machine or shutting off the supply that is leaking. For example, if it's the hot water supply valve that is leaking, just shut off the hot and do only cold water washing.
