The grill lights with an automatic striker, but it takes an inordinate amount of time to get hot and it tops out at 350 degrees. It is useless for grilling.
It was a rather expensive model that we got at a yard sale that looked as though it had never been used. Should we scrap it or can we save it?
Have exactly the same problem. Takes forever to get to 300 degrees and goes no further. I've stopped using the grill because of this. So far nothing I've done has had any impact.
Try following these steps to reset your FLD (flow limiting device)http://www.edyoungs.com/edyoungs/troubleshoot_tank.htm and then carefully follow the lighting instructions. If it works for you I think you will find this is a GREAT grill! Happy grilling and eating!

Try this, close your burners and your propane tank off, let sit for a couple of minutes. Making sure your burners are off turn on the propane tank and let it pressurize the line for a couple of minutes. Turn on the burner that is closest to your igniter and light it. After that burner is lit then you cn turn on the other burners. Good luck and hope tht solves your problem.
