Belkin wireless G+ mimo modem router/usb network adapter
I have managed to configure the computer to the router i.e all the details required match my network information ect on the computer.
I can't access the web-based management user interface of the router by typing in the number " 192.168.2.1 ". It says there is no internet connection.

It sounds like the router address is wrong or you are not connected to the network.. Guessing you are using Windows XP or Vista. Go to the DOS prompt (http://www.computerhope.com/issues/chdos.htm) then type ipconfig. This will bring up details on your network (see example below).
IPv4 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.4
Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.0.1
You should see default gateway address which is the address of your router ie 192.168.2.1 in your example. If this is not shown you have not connected to your router properly. If it shows a different address use the address shown to try and access your router. HTH
