using the D-pad on your printer, scroll down the menu until you get to "maintenance"
Press OK
Scroll down to "clean printhead"
press OK
The printer will now make some noises and after about 30 seconds will say complete.
Now scroll down once more to "Print test page"
press OK
load paper and press the start button
Iff the printed page looks ok...job done. If still faint, repeat the above steps once more.
Unfortunately it sounds like you're keyboard is malfunctioning and the only permanent fix is to replace the keyboard. In the mean time, since you are unable to do so, I would suggest using the touch pad to manipulate the scroll bar for the faster scrolling. For more control you could use a USB mouse with the laptop which would give you a scroll wheel. (I personally use a Wireless Mouse with my laptop because I find touch pads don't react they way I would like my mouse to use)
OK, all you need to do is to hold down the "Ctrl" button on your keyboard. While you hold down the key, you need to scroll with your mouse button, If you have an external mouse plugged in, you just need to scroll with the middle mouse button. If you use the mouse pad on the laptop, the left side on the pad is usually the scroll function.
So...Just to be clear. Open your web browser. Hold down the "Ctrl" key on scroll up or down with your scroll function.
Hope this can be of help. Also, please do not hesitate to let me know if you need any further assistance.
dont go all the way to the edge, most pads have a scrolling feature built in mine is on the far right of both my laptops and if i hit it the page will scroll up and down as i move my finger
If you have the drivers for the touchpad installed then you should be able to run your finger up or down the right hand side of the touch pad and have it scroll the page you are one.
If it doesn't work then you may need to either reinstall the drivers or find the program that handles the touch pad settings (usually found in program files) and turn the scrolling feature back on.
Try uninstalling the drivers from the device manager, then do a hardware search. It will automatically find the touch pad and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, then check the connector under the keyboard. Disconnect it and reconnect it, they sometimes work loose. If these don't correct the problem, then you have a faulty touch pad and you'll have to replace it.
