Check for ice build-up in and around the freezer fan where the blades are, if you can see ice in there (some times it may look like white foam but dont be fooled, it will be ice), the fan will be hitting it, defrost the freezer and check defrost element, (you will have to dismantle freezer section to get to it but reletively simple job) disconect from mains first. pull the plug and let it defrost. ck the drain for water. it maybe pluged. after 2 to 4 hrs. plug it back in and set the temp. to -10 degrees f . fill small dish or bowl with water and see how long it take to freez. if it takes longer then 4 hrs you may need freon or have a compreesor problem, or defrost timer .
The freezer should be set at 4 or 5 to start. If that is not cold enough then move the temp knob to 6 or 7 to get it colder. the higher the # the colder it will get. Onse you set the new temp it will take around 4 hrs to get to the new setting.

You are probably right that it is always running. This is because the thermostat/sensor has gone bad. The fridge adjusts by a door that allows air to come from the freezer to the fridge side. Therefore this will still work...
You will need to replace or have the thermostat replaced....
My wife solved it for me :-) You turn the alarm off with a switch at the bottom. The alarm turns off, but the light stays red for another 4 hours. After that the red light goes off too, and you can turn the switch back on without the alarm going off, if the freezer is back to operating temp.
I assume there is no manual control for setting temp. so the thermal sensor or control circuit has failed and it is just staying at its maximum.
You will probably get more help from the manufacturer but their website is somewhat disjointed; looking for contact info for your product ends at one point and then shifts to their scientific product line.

You will in any case need to have the correct model number at hand since the subject line doesn't sound like your freezer.

The freezer should stay within 5 degrees of 0 while in operation. While in defrost the freezer may reach as high as 20 to 25 degrees. If any higher temperatures are reached your food will spoil as they are defrosted and refroze everyday. If you find that the temperature is allowing your food to defrost you may want to replace your defrost thermostat. This device is located on top of the evaperator coil inside the back of the freezer. It is made to turn the heater off when a temperature of 55 degrees is reached. One other possible problem could be your defrost timer is taking to long to restart the cooling cycle after defrosting.
