The equipment manual will have instructions on how to do this. If you do not have the manual, google search for manufacturer make, model and the word manual. If one is available, you will find it in the search results. You question did not contain the make and model of your unit.

Casio PCR-T280 Help with Taxes and Departments.

In department programming, there is an option to turn on or off each tax. You need to turn off tax1 and turn on tax2 (if that is the one you have programmed for the rate you need). Just look up the tables for tax rate and department programming in the manual. If you don't have one, C-tech has it listed here:http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_PCR-T280_operating_and_programming_manual.html

I just bought XE-A402 cash register how do i set just one depart ment as no tax, for labor

You need to check the tables in the department programming section of the book. There will be a setting for tax or non tax for each tax number. So if you need to turn off tax 1, set tax 1 to non tax. See how you get on.
If you need a manual, C-tech have one here:http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Sharp_XE-A402_operation_manual.html

Hello, I have a cash casio PCR-T275 I want that tax2 is taxing tax1. By example, if I have: 10$ tx1 (5%) = 0.50$ subtotal: 10.50$ tx2 (8.5%) = 0.89$ (tx2 applicable on tx1) Total: 11.39$ (NOT...

While you can't have the second tax rate tax the first as you described in the example, you could program the %+ key to be your first tax of 5% and program the tax rate 1 to be 8.5...so ring $10.00, then hit the 5% service chg,(programmed to be taxable by rate 1) then subtotal...should tax the whole amount
