REMOVE THE NEGATIVE CABLE FIRST. THEN THE POSITIVE. REMOVE THE HOLD DOWN BOLT NEAR THE BOTTOM OF THE BATTERY. REMOVE BATTERY. INSTALL BATTERY IN REVERSE ORDER. NEG. CABLE LAST
You have to remove the belt. Also you can have it tested on the vehicle.Once you have the 2 bolts off and the belt the alternator should come off.Good luck.
Open tailgate and there will be 2 screws that hold light housing remove and then turn the light socket out that you want to replace. Turn it 1/4 turn counterclockwise. Replace bulb and housing.
remove the bolt put a washer on the bolt then put the bolt back in place this should leave enough of the end of the bolt exposed to hold with plyers then put the nut back on and tighten while holding the bolt with plyers, use a washer that is not too big for proper application.
Fuel filter. Timing/timing chain. Idle air control valve. Idle sensor. Vacuum leak. Probably one of the above, but the filter is cheapest place to start. Change your air filter too, if you haven't for a while.
Yes,there is a 13mm bolt head down at the bottom of the battery towards the firewall side. That's what holds the battery in place.Good luck, ChevRev. P.S. I would recomend that you use a set of jumper cables to maintain power to the system so you don't wipe out the radio codes, etc.Clamp the neg cable to the engine block & the pos cable to either the power wire on the alternator or it may have a pos cable lug near the battery.
