Re: why do i keep blowing the p e d fuse under the hood
Unhook the rectifier and if it doesnt blow, then that is the problem, its connected to your alternator,A rectifier turns the Alternating Current (AC) produced by the Alternator into Direct Current (DC) that your car uses.

A window mechanism that needs lubrication can cause a motor to over draw current. A bare or pinched wire in the flexible wire tray between the door and the body will definitely blow the fuse.
Did you find the prolbem? Im having the exact same problem you have. Mine is doing it after it died and I replaced the starter but now it wont start and the fuse eng cont 1 keeps getting burned out instantly
Check the fuel pump relay, i am not sure but i think there are two of them. Check the wire harness too, mice may have chewed in to the wires causing a shot in the system.
Good luck and hope this helps.
