When I open a PDF file with Adobe Reader X 10.0.0 from the network, it crashes with error: there was an error opening this document. The denial of access. What could be the problem? How can I recover my file?
Check the network path. PDF files do not open only from network folders with DFS paths.
\\mynetwork\doc\manual.pdf
And everything perfectly works if in way to specify the server:
\\myserver\doc\manual.pdf
This problem is in protected mode of the program. That Adobe Reader X didn't give out more mistakes, this mode needs to be turned off.
1. Start Adobe Reader X
2. Go into Edit - Installations ...
3. In category choose the Basic
4. Take off the checkbox "Enable protected mode at startup"
5. Restart Adobe Reader X
Everything should work.
If the file does not open, then it means it is damaged. You will be able to recover it by using Recovery Toolbox for PDF

The file should still be on your hard drive , if you it had it there before.
Denial of access usually means that you were not the one who wrote it and may not modify it. Usually one can read such a file , though. Not sure this was, at all, helpful, sorry.
