Question about Memory Cards & USB Flash Drives

1 Answer

Formatting an SD disk

I bought a Sandisk SD card 1 GB and put it into my camera straight from the packaging. I then took about 15 pictures and wanted to put them into my computer. The computer asks me every time if I want to format the disk and I say yes and then it says it can't do it, therefore I can't get my photos onto my computer. I've never had this problem with my other SD cards. It makes me mad. It won't let me even see the photo files or anything.

When i am formatting my 2 GB micro sd card than formatting start but after some time there is a massage comes that unable to complete formatting, what is the salution of it?

Preformat : By Fix-shad0w

Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from or
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

Sandisk 1 gb has 233 mb after formatting?how can i get my 1 gb storage spae back?

If the Sandisk 1 gb has 233 mb after formatting, then the card is usually bad and must be replaced.

Try doing a complete formatting again.

If that does not work, delete partition and try doing formatting with a tool like the one below.
If the software below does not fix the problem, then replace the card.
