Right cartridge incorrect and printer will not

The printer was working fine and the cartridges are not empty, but suggenly I got a "right cartridge incorrect" error on the printer and it won't print anything even when I ask for a B&W print. The printer is a dell photo 924.

I have removed cartridges and re-installed - make no difference. Reluctant to buy 2 new cartridges in case that doesn't work either. Is the printer stuffed or jut a problem with the cartridges? I there any way to just print B&W without worrying about the colour?

I have the same issue where the printer displays "Right cartridge Incorrect". However, it's had no problems up until about two weeks ago and I've had the right cartridge in place for about a year or so.

Printer: AIO 922 (All-In-One 922)
Ink: Remanufactured ink

My printer continues to say that my left cartridge is incorrect and my right cartridge is incorrect. I have misplaced my printer booklet.

- Make sure you are inserting the correct cartridge versions for your model. The Lexmark X5470 uses 32 or 34 black cartridge and 33 or 35 color cartridge.
- Ensure that both your cartridges have plenty of ink in them and not empty.
- You can also try to insert different known working cartridges to determine if what you're currently using is faulty or not.
- Try to remove the cartridges from your printer > close the printer cover > unplug/re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it > when the printer turns on, reinsert both cartridges.
Hope this helps.

Won't work displays Right Cartridge incorrect. Re inserted a few times.

It seems that printer expires the cartridges after about 18 months even if it's finished or not ,you will have to buy another cartridge to reset it.

A quick reset without buying a new cartridge is to use a discarded empty cartridge in the printer to reset the printer and then reinsert the cartridge you have now.

Right cartridge incorrect" and "Left cartridge incorrect

Many newer HP Printers internally keep track of your cartridges by a serial number embedded into the cartridge. When it's low, the printer remembers. This is entirely done within the printer itself, and not the printer software. Some printers EXPIRE the cartridges after 18 months according to the installation date even it is not empty.

Outrageous, but true.

A fix? Most HP printers will only keep 2 cartridges in memory, so if you have 2 extra cartridges, (even empty ones) you could cycle them through to reset the printers memory, and reset the ink level to full. Basically, even though you've refilled your cartridge, the printers has the cartridge's serial number stored in memory. This will reset it.

Right cartridge incorrect

If it says to check the right cartridge (Black), replace it with a brand new one or one you know is good.

Walgreens will test and refill your cartridge for ~$10.00 (black).

I have heard of new OEM HP cartridges being bad.

The printer checks the cartridge level sensor and the electrical stuff.

DELL AIO 922- All in one- Printer won't print

Remove the right ink cartridge (color). You will get an error saying the cartridge is empty, but ignore that. Hit cancel on your printer. Print your job...when your print screen comes up, under preferences check the box for print colors in black and white. Your printer should print just fine without the color cartridge. Ignore the flashing red light.
