Re: when I try to transfur pictures from docking station...

As windows is finding new hardware then the drivers for the camera have not been installed you will need to download the drivers from kodak or use your cd drivers that came with the camera.
Follow the prompted directions exactly.

Computer don't recognize the Canon EOS XSi

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

Red flashing light on battery indicator on the loading dock.

My Z760 does the same thing. When that happens I run the battery completely down by taking pictures until it shuts down. Then when I put it on the dock it charges properly. Don't leave your camera on the dock all the time and don't try to always keep the battery fully charged--instead it will develop memory and think it needs to be fully charged to run and will give you a low battery signal earlier than it should. Wait until you actually get a low battery signal before charging and it should help, but mine will still give me the red light sometimes. Then I run the battery out like I said before. I hope this information helps. :-)

Please provide more information:
What operating system is your computer running?
Does the computer recognize the camera (does a little window pop up on the lower right corner of your computer screen letting you know it has found new hardware)?
Did the camera come with a software CD and have you loaded that on the computer?

"check connections"

I am having a similar problem. I put mine in its dock, connected the USB cable to my computer, and pressed the USB button on the dock. The light turned green and after 30 or so seconds, the message Check Connections came up on the camera.
