How do i get my brush roller to spin ?

Hi,

Please check that all of your belts are still good (ie not stretched out, torn or otherwise worn). Also, please double check that you've cleaned all debris from the brush roll. You might need a tooth brush or a comb that you can throw out later. You might use shampoo to clean in. Then , please have the brush roll motor checked.

Thank you.

Electrolux how to take apart the wand handle on a model 1521

Paul, I spent 8 1/2 years with Electrolux as a Div. Service Mgr. We seldom used the actual model number of the machines to identify them. I'd need a photo of the machine or the actual piece you're trying to disassemble in order to help. Sorry. If you can get a photo of either of them, you can contact me at ([email protected]). and I'll try to help. Corky

Backpack vacuum trips breaker how do I locate the ground short

If this machine has functioned well in the past and this problem has showed up suddenly, with no damage having been done to the machine, then start with the cord. Check for dings, scrapes, anything that could get down into the actual wires inside. If you don't find anything there, then you'll need to take the unit apart where the cord enters and trace it to the motor. You'll need an ohm meter to check continuity. When you find a point where two wires are touching each other or the outside body of the unit that will probably be your problem area.

I have a Karcher WD 3.500 P wet dry vac. First ? when vacuuming dirt off floor do I always need the bag or is the cartridge primary filter ok.. I clean it regularly. Second problem. I went to turn on...

The bag is part of the filtration design of the machine. Using it will not only make your primary cartridge filter last longer, but make the vacuum suck more efficiently & make your vacuum as a whole last longer.
You can bypass the switch to check if the motor is okay.
More often than not an intermittent operation of a machine is actually due to a break in the power lead. This is not always apparent externally though. You may need to get this checked by a qualified / certified person.

Sebo felix belt is broken, taken screws from bottom of vacum but will not come apart

There are actually two belts on your Sebo, one that drives the brush, and the second that attaches to the pulley on one end, and the motor shaft on the other. I'm assuming that the belt you need to replace is probably the brush belt, or the belt that attaches to the brush gear on side, and the pulley on the other.

Here's what you'll need to do:

Step 1. Remove the vacuum bag housing so that you are only working with the power nozzle or the bottom portion of your Sebo, this will make it much easier to work with. Turn the vacuum upside down, and remove only the 5 screws that I have circled in red:

Step 2. After removing the screws on the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, separate the top housing from the lower agitator housing, sometimes it may take putting a flat head screw driver in between the white and grey colored housing and prying them apart.

Step 3. You now have full access to the belts on your machine. It's most likely the belt that wraps around the brush gear rather then the belt that's attached to the motor that's gone bad. I have never replaced the motor belt in 8 years of servicing Sebo vacuums. The easiest way to replace this belt is to loosen the pulley system that the belt wrap around. Unscrew the two screws that hold this pulley in place, and remove the brush drive belt from the pulley, and now you can unwrap it from the brush gear as well now with the extra slack in it. Now, if you've been using your Sebo in your home rather then using it commercially in a business, Sebo actually offers a lifetime belt warranty on their vacuum cleaners. The belt is supposed to last as long as the vacuum, and Sebo will actually cover this repair, both parts and labor as long as the machine is being used in a residential home environment..

Sebo upright vacuum cleaner - Bag full or clog light on constantly when using as an upright but not when using detachment pipe. Bag changed and no sign of blockage. Is this a common fault or does it need...

Hello,

I have actually written an in depth trouble shooting guide on how to find the clog in your Sebo. Since this light is coming on only when you have the wand inserted into the vacuum and are vacuuming the floor, this indicates that your clog is in the bottom of the machine. The link below will explain exactly what you need to do to locate, and clear this clog.

This should be the exact fix your vacuum needs:

Our dyson beater bar won't spin.

DC14s actually have two belts, but one of them is difficult to get at or even see without some dismantling.

Have a look at www.dysonmedic.com which has some very useful info on dismantling and repairing Dysons.

Although this site doesnt actually cover the DC14 yet, the DC14 is very similar to the DC07 so as regards dissassembling the machine, my experience is that the DC07 info will enable you to do the job.

My filter queen fell apart!
Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Not knowing what actually fell apart is to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or to call the Filter Queen factory cust serv or tech serv @ the phone # listed below, you can also request a new owner’s manual so that you might see what actual fell apart and you might be able to fix it yourself. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
