Hi there. Check and tighten all wiring connections. Check the hi limit for continuity across the terminals using an ohm meter, if it has no continuity, you have to replace the hi limit. Regards.
You have to check the following: 1. Does the pilot flame has the ability to heat up the thermopile? Themopile must be properly heated in order to generate voltage to open the pilot valve as well as main valve. 2. When the thermolpile is heated, does it generates 500 millivolts? If not, your thermopile needs replacement. If it does and still the pilot flame wont stay lit, your gas valve needs replacement. 3. Does the hi limit device has continuity on its terminals? If there is no continuity on hi limit terminals, you have to replace it. One of the thermopile wire passes on this hi limit terminal to cut the voltage supply on pilot valve in case the oil temperature reaches 450F. 4. Check and tighten all wiring connections, millivolts generated by thermopile will not pass on loosely terminated wiring.
Check and tighten all wiring connections. check if your thermopile receives enough heat from the pilot flame. Once the pilot is lit, the hi limit device will be the only one capable of shutting it down during operation (once the oil temperature reaches 450F) provided the gas supply is sufficient.
Check if your pilot flame sufficiently heats thermopile during operation and make sure also that it is free of soot or any form of dirt, thermopile generates small amount of electricity to energize pilot and main valve of the gas valve for pilot and main burner operation. This electricity passes through hi limit mechanical contacts. Hi limit on fryers act as safety device which will shut down pilot and burner flame when oil temperature reaches 450F. If your fryer is set at 350F and over shoots up to 450F (which will trip hi limit and shut down pilot and burner flame), the thermostat is not good, but, if hi limit trips on temperature much lower than 450F, hi limit is bad.
Check the hi limit sensing bulb, it should not touch the fire tube, when it does, it will sense high temperature which will trip its mechanical contacts and will shut pilot and burner flames. Make also sure that the thermopile is free of soot or any form of dirt and is properly heated by the pilot flame.
thromo stat bad the tempature knob has a gas valve attached to it along with two gas lines you will have to remove the oven to acess all lines as they run on the backside of the case remove the burners and gas input line copper line remove gas supply tube to all burners remove valve and take to dealer they need the numbers off the vavle for exact repacement not just the numbers off the stove itself east fix with simpl hand tools thermost has a themocouple attached to burner assembly and this is your problem bad part is themocouple is built into thermostat and is no serviceable only fix is to replace "thermostic gas valve"
Does this fryer plug up to power of not?If it don't ,then thehi limit is out, need to reset it and try lightning it back. You will need to hold if for a minute. At this time if it don't stay lite, then replace the pilot thremcouplen.
The thermocouplen is bad .But before you replace it try to reset the hi limit. It you lite and hold for minute and still go out replace the thermocouplen.
