there is always pulling the power cord. how long are you holding the power button? also on printers there is sometimes a power switch on the back by the power cord.
in my printer brother mfc-7340 when i coping with machine after some time display will show print unable with error code 72 what i will do? plse tell me;
More than likely you have a bad printhead, if its under warranty brother will pay to have it fixed, otherwise just play baseball with it and buy another one

Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Print Unable XX The machine has a mechanical problem. —OR— A foreign objects such as a clip or ripped paper is in the machine.
Open the scanner cover and remove any foreign objects inside the machine. ( You might try cleaning the scanner glass.)
If the error message continues, disconnect the machine from the power for several minutes and then reconnect it.
