Batter and starter was change lose all gauge in dash sprrd gas rpm.

Probably corrosion in connections from sensors to the dash circuit board. Could be components in the dash circuit board.

it will be either a loose connection /a bad rpm sensor that is causing your problem. It may even be a bad earth wire.

You may have to replace the cluster in the dash. Sometimes those fuses go. On my 750il the eml light went out on the dash and made the whole car go into limp mode.

my guess is that since you hit a bump in the road that its possible that a plug has come loose from the back of the dash.. remove instrument cluster and inspect for loose or broken wiring and connectors..

Just change the speedometer head only. Pick up 1 from a wrecking yard about 35.00 dollars. Very easy to switch.

My truck is manual and is idling rough at low rpms, it kinda surges and rpm starts to drop like between 500 and 900 rpm as well.

I have trouble starting it and stalls on me.

I have changed the alternator, starter, battery, battery cables, rotor, distributor cap, spark plug wires, spark plugs.


As for the dash light going out, mine does that too but on the left side (gas gauge side), I just usually apply a firm tap on the left side of the black part of the panel and it turns on.

Have the computer checked

On thedash of my 2003 sedan sebring ,My dash ilumination lights for the speed,temp,tack\rpm and fuel are unlit.
I found that there is a paper thin plastic across and behind all four of these gauges which lights up all four gauges,if working correctly, There is a very poor connection to this thin film lighting system ,basicaly a wire terminal used as a staple and that very well could be your problem.
It as far as I know would require whole gauge assembly replacement! because dealers dont sell such small portions of some assemblies!
I myself will attempt to crimp this poor connection on my car without damaging thin film! there are no bulbs for those four gauges too iluminate!

hi all,it sounds like ye have a speed sensor fault.they do give problems.replace the sensor in the gearbox,should sort it.
