SOURCE: Red Stripe, right side

Follow-up. I found the slip on which the LG tech wrote down the part number for the board to fix the vertical red stripe. I was mistaken in my previous post. It was not the Z-Drive board. The board you want is:

X DRIVE BOARD; Part 6871QRH043A
Type in the part number in a search engine and yuo will find multiple places to purchase. Ebay may be the cheapest. That's where I got another part which got my picture back. I did not buy this part myself because now that I have my picture back, I do not want to screw it up, so I live with the red stripe.

SOURCE: SCANJET 6300C

These brown stripes on the right and left hand edge of the scan window are caused by smoking near the scanner. The front side mirrors located on the moving scan head need to be cleaned. You can accomplish this by removing the top of the scanner which includes the glass. Remove the clip that tensions the small but long cogged belt. Don't worry about repositioning the assembly correctly, the scanner will reset its position information when it initializes. Once the mirrors are removed, do not handle the mirrored surfaces excessively. Clean very carefully with some liquid soap and set on a clean towel. Dry with clean cotton balls and alcohol if required. Reinstall in their proper locations, making sure the clips hold the mirrors in the correct position. Replace the belt and tensioning clip. Replace the top of the scanner.
Start up the scanner and let it initialize. You should be off an running.

SOURCE: I just purchased a HP w2338h monitor. After only

There is an apparent design problem with this monitor. If you apply pressure to the edge of monitor the lines disappear, but when you remove the pressure the lines return. Had monitor three days when lines appeared. Currently waiting on replacement from HP. If same problem will return to store of purchase. HP must be aware of this problem I have seen several complaints posted on their website forum.

SOURCE: When connect the power I get all solid lights

You have to notify comcast, to let them know you bought a new modem. Comcast uses a two way communications to all of there devices, and it is not setup on your new modem.

Pump motor bracket on bottom of motor rusted off or welds shot. how can i fix or find a new motor housig

Go to your local do-it-yourself center and get a piece of band metal. Approximately 3/16 thick, by maybe 1 inch or 1 1/2 inches wide. I think you're going to be able to only get a length shortest 24 inches or 36 inches? If there's an 18 inch piece that should suffice?
now just form with a hammer and maybe a vise or two separate pairs of pliers, and form to the shape of the bottom of your pool motor housing, and bend little feet.
to secure it to the bottom of the motor, use JB Weld, a great product.

Can't remove the kneading blade

My method should be used only on the thick
cast aluminum pans not the thinner light weight pans because they can bend.
. Readers, please
see my new novella of mystery, horror, and suspense on Amazon. Just type my full name in the Amazon search
bar..which is Daryl Wayland Nash or just google me to get to Amazon. Happy Baking and .....Reading!

What
you need to do is get a strong shoelace or piece of string about 3 ft. long, 2
hot pads placed on the edges of the pan to protect your fingers,& 2 empty
milk jugs filled with water. Tie one end of the string around the post
the paddle sits on in the little space between the bottom of the paddle and the
pan and knot it. Loop the other end of
the string through the handles of the jugs short enough so that when you turn
the pan upside down the jugs hang about a foot off the ground. Bend your
knees a little so you in a position kind of like a short stop in
baseball. Then lift and drop the pan about 4 to 6 inches so the jugs kind
of POP the string. You can hear the seal of the baked on gunk breaking it
seal on the first pop and then the paddle comes flying free with the second
pop....If it hasn't popped off by the 4th or 5th pop you
will have to try other methods. Email
me if that is the case. I have
posted a video on you tube of how to do it just type in "how to remove a stuck
bread machine paddle" in the youtube search bar.

Glad to be
of help!

42" Panasonic Plasma - Vertical red stripe 6" from left side

We originally had a red stripe roughly 3" wide running vertically on the ride edge area of our Panasonic 52" Viera plasma tv. It has now been joined by a solid black stripe of the same width running from the top to the bottom. Living in Germany and purchased at local PX long enough ago that the warranty is likely expired. Now what?

Thane Q Grill

Hello,
I just read this post as I was surfing for the Q-Grill - which they don't make anymore according to their website, and I looked everywhere - Amazon, Ebay, etc. I'm looking to buy a second Q-Grill; the "Turbo" actually. My first one still works great! Anyways, I know it's almost a year for a response but if you're still having the issue (or if anyone is currently having this issue), that you stated regarding the "red" button under the dome light - I had the same problem after the first year of using my Q-Grill. The red cap (or button as you call it) cracked and the spring inside was popping through the crack. The red cap kept the pressure on the spring which was pressing the gas valve button to let the propane gas flow through the pipes. Its almost like a safety mechanism. Without the red cap on the spring, the gas valve button wouldn't be depressed, and no gas flow - Cold burgers! Yuck!....Any how, my solution was to place a thin, flat piece of wood like a very thin plywood; 1-1/2"(inch) by 1-1/2"(inch) and 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick over the cracked red cap, then I screwed down the dome light housing on top of the wood piece which rests on top of the red cap. The dome light housing now applies downward pressure to the wood piece, which applies pressure to the cracked red cap and the spring inside which is activating the gas valve button for gas flow. An alternate solution to using a piece of wood is using a piece of paper and folding it to make a small square (you may have to cut the piece of paper). And fold the piece of paper enough times to make it thick enough for the dome light housing to apply pressure once you screw it down.....I hope this helps you out.

Dark Vertical Stripe on Right Edge of Screen

I experienced the same approx. 1/2" vertical stripe on a Viewsonic vx1945 and ATI Radeon x1050 video adapter on Vista Business SP1, but the stripe appeared along the left edge of the screen, instead of right edge. I then temporarily decreased the monitor resolution, and the stripe went away. I then increased the monitor resolution back to its original setting, and the stripe did not re-appear. So, that was the 'fix' in my situation, hope this helps.
