On a Technics SX-PR110 keyboard, why can't we get it to play in basic piano mode?

Even though the settings are not changed, it changes.

SOURCE: Loose keys on my wonderful Technics digital piano

You would be very surprised of how few moving parts are in side one of these keyboards. There is no fix to the action, trust me. play the day lights out of it until it stops then get a new one. Have some fun and explore, if you find an old one that is shot, take it a part and you will see what I mean. These units are really a disposable instrument.
I hope this doesn't disappoint you . I hope it helped. Keep on rockin in the free world. DFD

SOURCE: I have a Technics digital piano with 1 dead key.

If your piano is the same as mine, there is a rubber membrane with contacts imbedded in it that sits on top of a circuit board. The key pushes the contact in the membrane onto the contact causing a note on. What happens is the cylindrical part of the membrane that holds the contact can get torn and the contact will no longer travel in a straight line to trigger the note. The entire membrane strip has to be replaced. The strip on my piano was discontinued and I had to manufacture one from an extra Roland membrane that had some bad contacts in it. You will have to contact Technicsat www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/PNAEndecaSearchCmd for support. If you don't feel comfortable tackling the repair yourself consult a good piano tuner/repair place in your area for advice.

Marshall mg100fx treble knob does not automatically kicks in when amp turned on?

Are you old enough to remember when amps were all linear? Well, this is a computer. I haven't seen the schematic, but I'd guess the knobs are not connected to pots, but rotary encoders which send signals to a processor board to change settings. So, it's either a bug or a "feature" that causes these settings to start at zero when you boot the machine. You may be able to store all the last settings in memory so they start there.

Pitch bender failure.

That is NOT a very descriptive problem statement... If all notes are off pitch but the bender still varies the tone, read about "transpose" in your user manual. Often the transpose or even the A440 setting gets changed and synth will be off pitch. If the pitch bender causes NO change then the control may have a failure.

Typically ONLY one effect will be active at a time unless there is a specific mixed effect available. The gain levels between the different effects are often not too consistent. In summation, this is probably the nature of the beast.

I am trying to record sounds from my keyboard into my MPC 1000. I have what I think is the proper set-up. MIDI sync...softthru as track...etc. Problem is when I set it up I can play one sound and record...

It is not clear whether you are recording audio or MIDI. If you recorded Audio samples, you will get the same sounds back even if you change the voice on the keyboard.

If you record a MIDI sequence, and then play it back you will STILL get the same sounds UNLESS you also record the MIDI voice or patch changes so the voice is changed as it occured when you recorded it. Usually there are options taht you can enable or disable voice changes.

Sounds like you need to get it intonated. Take it to your local guitar shop tell them your problem and where you'd like your strings to sit or that straight neck of yours won't be like that for long.

All 4 mics wil transmitt through channel a,

Sounds like all of your mics are using the same frequency. What you can do is change crystals in each unit to change frequencies, this will allow each mic to use its own receiver.

You may have a switch with 2 settings somewhere on your amp - one for active and one for passive. try changing that.

If this doesn't work, make sure you got the guitar in the line input, change the lead for another incase it's faulty, turn the volume up on the guitar to activate the pickups, and rock-out when you find the problem and fix it.
