Bad HDMI cable. You can't bend it too sharply or pull on the cable. These are fragile.

Netflix cuts out and have to restart on my bravia tv, using only the smart tv to watch netflix

Sounds like your HDCP is failing [High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection]. HDCP is used to protect digital copyrighted content as it travels from a device to your TV, usually via a HDMI or DVI cable. Or by WiFi.

If HDCP fails on either end of the connection the default is to halt the stream, possible solution, reverse the ends of the cable or if this fails try a new cable. Don't go for a cheep cable though. But in the same vain you don't need one of the ultra expensive ones either.

If WiFi then the signal could be weak, this is nothing to do with the speed, but with the strength of the signal.

Changing the Wifi channel could work as this may obviate loss of strength due to interference. Also check other unrelated devices, for example a microwave oven with faulty shielding would cause issues when running.

Through Sky+ HD when selecting the HDMI connection I get the following statement through Sky "This diplay does not support HDCP....." Any help please Rob

hi,

try to connect the set top box in any other HDMI input of ur tv. reason is bellow read it carefully.

p { margin-bottom: 0.21cm; } HDCP stands for High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection and was developed by ----------. It's nothing more than a security feature requiring compatibility between the sender and receiver, like HD cable set-top box and the TV. By compatibility, mean HDCP technology built into both devices.
Think of HDCP as a security license key like you would input when installing a computer program. Only this security key is invisible to you and me but not your TV.
It works by encrypting a digital signal with a key that requires authentication from the transmitting and receiving product. If authentication fails then the signal fails, which means no picture on the TV screen.

Buy a HDTV that has HDCP capabilities. Most will have this in at least one HDMI input but be sure to verify this before buying the TV.

Notice that "in at least one port." Not every HDMI port on the TV will be HDCP compliant so be sure to read your TV user manual if you plan on connecting a HDMI cable to your TV.

ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre 3 issue

Download from Arcsoft the "BD Assistant"and it will tell you where your system is failing the HDCP check.

I had an issue with the LogMeIn mirror driver showing up as my graphics card. When I uninstalled it, my HDCP status was good again. The funny thing is LogMeIn and TMT3 run fine together but only under certain circumstances changing multiple monitors do you get this conflict.

HDMI Interface doesn't work with Samsung blu-ray player. Start-up banner displays on power up for 10 seconds then reverts to "no signal".

First check inside the 2 ends of the HDMI cable to see if there are any bent or missaligned metal contacts. If so then replace the cable with new. If it's good, check inside the connections of the TV and DVD. If good, It sounds like an HDCP problem which is the content protection of the disk. Contact the manufacturer which will have a list of compatible tested DVD players. Also they will have the latest FW for you TV which if possible can be done at home with your computer. Or you could return the DVD player if is not compatible for one that is of the brand recommended. I have seen this a few times.
