Remove centre bolt on blade anticlockwise.Blade will have to be stopped from rotating.Blade will slip out of carrier.NB note direction of blade for refit.

Probably go a piece of wood between black and safety cover. Unplug from power before checking

Ryobi mitre saw jamming when cutting

There's a normal adjustment process of squaring the blade to the table, page 19 of your manual. If the blade is not square to the table then it will bind. Here's the link for the manual, see page 19.

I have the blade bolt off of my ryobi miter saw but the blade wont come off of the spindle

tap the blade on the back side to loosen it off. The wood sap has probably dried out and is acting like a glue on the back flange washer.

12'' Ryobi miter saw with loose blade

You may need to use lock tight on the threads. Also replace the standard washer with a lock washer if possible.

Loose replacement blade

I completely removed the blade and put it back on, tightening the locknut, and now it works perfectly. The blade has not come loose and have used the machine for the last 3 months. The only thing I can think of is that somehow I didn't have the blade correctly installed in the first place, although it didn't wobble or anything.

Changing the saw blade on a Ryobi Mitre saw

There may be a push button type blade lock, and on many of these saws the retaining bolt for the blade is backwards threads, e.i., looking at the top of blade retaining bolt, turn it clockwise to loosen. This would normally tighten, but in the case of many of these saws, it loosens it.

How do I remove the guard?

Lift the guard up and you will see a nut holding the blade. You should not have to remove guard to change blade. Make sure unit is unplugged before working on it.
