What model? D110? 8110?

Try turning off the printer, clearing the print queue, restarting the computer, then turn the printer on.

If that doesn't work, what happens if you turn off the printer, disconnect it from the computer and then turn it on?

Testimonial: "As soon as I turn it on, it cycles through its setup and then the lights start flashing, whether attached to computer or not. If attached to computer,the printer utility says the Door/Cover is open. So maybe some sensor that thinks the Cover is open, but it isn't and I don't know where to find or fix it."

    Check this advice from HP: "Open the Access Door approximately 1 inch (2.54cm), and then allow the Access Door to drop. If the printer continues to sense the Access Door is open then service the unit."http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01...

    Do you have a Photosmart 5160? That model seems to have this problem frequently.

Here's something that might also be useful. After you turn on the set, and get the regular red blinky lights, hold down the Device and Menu buttons together for about 5 seconds.
The Power light will start to flash in a two digit sequence.
For example, 3 flashes, then 7 flashes = 37.
Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filter cover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cable between FMT and Engine disconnected

Why does my Sony kds-50a2020 power light flash 6 times?

I would talk to whoever rebuilt the optical block and see if they have any suggestions. It could be that the rebuilt unit is causing the problem.

Flashing battery life lights, quickie 525s

The chair is either in freewheel or the number of flashes will indicate an error code to tell what the problem is. Look in your users manual for error codes or contact Sunrise Medical Tech support

The heated dry and clean lights flash together

I had this same problem. I read on another blog that the manual recommends that you turn the power off to dishwasher. When you turn the washer back on, the lights still flash but then push the off button. The lights stopped flashing.
