The six blinks indicates that an internal fan is either bad ot blocked by dust or debris, You should be able to look in the back of the unit and see some cooling fans. Chances are one on them is not turning and will need to be replaced

Blinks in the indicator signifies malfunction particularly in the horizontal and vertical sections. It is sometimes caused by loose connections due to wear and tear.
If parts would be available, then there would be no such thing as obsolete boards. You can request your technician to have the degree of repair be evaluated first to determine if the expenses would justify its existence.
Your respose is highly appreciated.

Shutdown with a 3x blink pattern occurs if the 12v from the power supply (GF1 or GF2 depending on model) is lost at CN6153/pin 6 to the AU Board Q1224 to Sub Micro IC1205. The suspects, in order of likelihood, are (1) Power supply and (2) the AU board.

AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks
for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function.
Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761
and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the
A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up
