If you are steaming the cooker will do the adjusting for you. Check the manual for the size of potato you can use as you may have the cut into chunks.

Can you refrigerate peeled sweet potatoes overnight

Yes, but why go to the trouble?
You can bake or boil with skin on and it slides right off after cooking.
You do not want to boil peeled sweet potatoes as they fall apart and you will get a watery mash that will remove the nice sweet potato flavor.

Why do my roast potatoes take two hours to cook what am i doing wrong, cooking at190 degrees

I'm not really an expert in cooking and I've never roasted potatoes in some Crock Pot or Slow Cooker but for sure you need more then 190? (guess F?) to roast potatoes.

You should look up a receipe book for your device, like this one:

Fan comes on by itself and won't turn off.

Is it a micro hood? If so, and you're cooking on the stove below, it may be that the microwave is getting too warm. Some of them have an automatic fan the comes on when you're cooking below them - especially when boiling potatoes or something else steamy.

Bits left in pan and paddle when cooking chips

If you use fresh potatoes, try a different variety as some are a lot firmer than others.

For frozen chips, start cooking as soon as they are removed from the freezer and don't let them sit.

When cooking a crockpot roast, do i put my carrots and potatoes in, in the beginning or at the end. it's going to be cooking for 8-10 hours! thanks

I always put my carrots and potatoes in first with my seasoning and the amount of water/broth I am using. Then I put my roast on top with its seasoning. Works great this way.

Recovery time

If the unit starts off fine, and then loses some of it's heat, I would suspect that your regulator is freezing up. This can be caused be a bad tank or regulator. You'll have to swap it out to test it.

If the gas supply is good (reg and tank), you need to inspect the heat exchange tubes. Look where the flame shoots through the fryer. Use a flashlight. Look for LARGE amounts of black soot. If it is sooty, blow it out with compressed air. Once you get it cleaned out, you need to add more air to your mix. There should be a disk at the base of the burner.

If you have access to a manometer and orifice drills, you could adjust the flame to it's maximum. But as I said, I expect you have a regulator problem.

Rice cooking

if that rice when cooked is too soft or too hard.. then , you might want to add more water to it. the correct ratio for cooking rice is always 1 cup rice and 1 cup water. it also depends on what type of rice your cooking though, some type of rice become too mushy when too much water is added... so always have some minimal water to the uncooked rice.
