When your SIM is in your phone and you click reset to defaults it should query the network and set it up as default.

Change apn settings on alcatel one touch model A995L

The first thing you'll need to do is find the right APN settings for the network you want to use. You'll be able to find these at the support pages at the carrier website. The settings will look like this example for Straight Talk:
  • NAME: straight talk
  • APN: tfdata
  • PORT: 80
  • MMSC: http://mms-tf.net
  • MMS PROXY: mms3.tracfone.com
  • MMS PORT: 80
Once you have this information at hand, grab your phone.
Open the settings, and look for Wireless and Network settings. Once there, look for an option to see "more". You'll be presented with a list of options to select, and we're looking for something labeled "mobile networks".
Once you've found your mobile network settings, the rest will be the same on all devices. You're looking for the "Access Point Names" section. Tap to open it.
You should see a list with at least one APN on it. If things aren't working with the current APN, you need to add another. Don't modify or delete the one you see, instead make a new one and we can choose it when we're done. At the top of the page, or possible in a menu if your phone has a menu button, press the plus sign to bring up the "Edit access point" screen.
This is where you will enter the settings you got from your carrier's website. Two very important things here:
  1. Not every setting in the "Edit access point" screen will need filled in. Only fill in the items your carrier provides, and leave the rest as-is.
  2. Be sure to type in everything exactly as provided by your carrier. For example, default, supl, hipri is different than default, supl, hipri because of the spaces between items. Your carrier's system is set up to read an expected set of values, and any changes - no matter how minor - can and will break things.
Once you have the settings provided by your carrier entered, you need to save the APN. You do that by pressing the three dots in the upper right (or the menu key if your phone has one) and selecting the "Save" option.
Once your APN information is saved, go back one screen to the list we saw earlier. On this screen, tap the new APN settings you just entered to make them active.
Most times, you'll need to physically reboot your phone to use a new APN setting, but once properly entered, chosen and working, your phone will choose the correct one automatically whenever it's rebooted or Airplane mode is toggled.

Samsung s4 I deleted the apn on accident how can I get them back

Every carrier uses its own APN Settings to get its 3G/4G LTE network working on an Android smartphone or tablet device. Now, these APN settings are usually "downloaded" automatically to your phone when you insert a SIM card. BUT, there are times where the APN are not selected automatically OR when the APN settings are not downloaded.
In those instances, your 3G/4G LTE data will not work but that can easily be fixed.
Step 1. First, browse your Settings menu and find the "Access Point Names" menu. This is usually under "Mobile Network Settings" or "More Mobile Networks" or "Mobile Networks" under Settings menu depending on the Android device used.

Step 2. Once you are in the APN Settings menu, first thing you should check it that the APN is on the correct one. If the correct APN is not checked (sometimes this happens), simply check ON the correct APN for your carrier. That will make your 3G/4G LTE data working right away.
Step 3. There are also times where the wrong APN is listed or there's simply no APNs listed. In these rare cases, you can simply add a new APN, hit the "+" button. 25264381-evzu5111kn4ie1titkzzffdn-4-2.jpg
Step 4. For APN setting, the "Name" can be anything. "APN" setting is the most important, usually you only have to fill this out for your phone to work.
25264381-evzu5111kn4ie1titkzzffdn-4-5.jpg
Step 6. Hit "Save" when done.

25264381-evzu5111kn4ie1titkzzffdn-4-9.jpg
Step 7. Next, make sure to select the new APN Setting you have saved. Within 5-30 seconds, your phone should start picking up 3G or 4G LTE signals and your data should be working again on the phon 25264381-evzu5111kn4ie1titkzzffdn-4-14.jpg

Why droid razor can't receive picture messages

The simple answer is your settings are wrong, you can go to your carrier to fix it or a local repair shop.
The setting that is likely needed to be added or changed is called "apn" which is access point network.

If you feel comfortable with changing things in your phone; Go to settings > more.. > apn (if on screen) or mobile network > apn > menu button > Add or New > The next part will depend on the carrier you are on. Unlocked htc inspire need apn and mms

For the HTC Inspire on Family Mobile, you'll need to create two APNs.

1. hit menu -> settings
2. hit "Wireless and Networks"
3. hit Access Point Names.
4. hit menu -> Reset to Default
5. hit menu -> New APN

Enter the following settings exactly. They are case sensitive. Any setting I do not list here should be left alone. Please note that in the "APN Type" setting, there are no spaces after the commas.

Name: MEdia Net
APN: Phone
APN Type: default,admin,hipri

6. Hit menu -> Save
7. Hit menu -> New APN

Enter the following settings exactly. They are case sensitive. Any setting I do not list here should be left alone. Please note that in the "APN Type" setting, there are no spaces after the commas.

Name: MMS
APN: web.omwtoday.com
Proxy: 216.155.175.188
Port: 8080
MMSC: http://wirelessfour.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Proxy: 216.155.175.188
MMS Port: 8080
APN Type: mms,supl

8. Hit menu -> Save
9. Make sure the first APN - "MEdia Net" - is selected by the radio button on the right side.

When you complete step 9, your data connection should drop and then come back after a few seconds.

10. Reboot your phone by holding the power button for 3 seconds and choosing "Restart Phone."

Done!

Mobile network settings

Hi

To input settings/choose from presets...

Press Menu Button (The one with four small squares on it)Go through menu and tap "Settings"
Tap "Wireless and Networks"
Scroll to and tap "Mobile Networks"
Tap on "Access Point Names/APN's"
If your Network is not listed press
The Menu Button again (Four Small Squares)
and tap "New Apn"
You will obviously need the settings.
You can probably find these on your network providers website.
Most Service Providers offer a text setup service.
This will send a text message to your phone which you read and delete, then restart your phone and settings should be set up automatically.
Check your Networks website to see if this service is available.

I hope this helps!?!
