If it is a bent shaft then the cable is broken in the tube
if a straight shaft then a couple of possible items
the square drives on the end of the shaft is rounded out or the clutch is not expanding as required ( same for bent shaft)

if it is a straight shaft I would be looking at the clutch as the cause as the drive is solid section
the bent shaft has a cable and the ends are pressed into a square shape and they may be rounded off
    Check that before the clutch
all sections are replaceable but not repairable

I have a husqv weedeat, its start fine, rpms fine, shaft from the motor to the head is fine, whats not fine is head has no torq and doesn't even spin. can you point me in the right direction?

If I understand your question correctly this may be what's wrong.
Inside the shaft there is a long piece of metal that connects to the engine and runs all the way down to the head from the engine. Sometimes, that piece of metal strips on either or both ends - as normal wear and tear and prevents and head from spinning. I hope that this is the case in your situation. If you were to remove the shaft from the motor section, inside the shaft should be an internal shaft. If the end of the shaft is rounded around where the shaft is pushed inside of the engine, well then it is stipped-out and needs to be replaced. If you inspect the other end where the head connects to the internal piece of metal and it is rounded around the end, well again that end is stripped-out and needs replacing. In summary, if either end of the internal piece of metal is rounded over instead of being flat, it is most likely in need of replacement.
In order to replace the "internal shaft" locate the Model Number on your Husq Weed-eater, call your local dealer and order the part and replace it. Sometimes, there might be an 800 number to help to locate a part. Your owners manual may have a exploded view of the part and part number. Sometimes the internet can provide part number and exploded views if you search the model number on line.I hope this helps.

TB70ss Trimmer runs but does not turn the string

Remove the angle drive gearbox near the string head and spin it to see if everything is moving properly. You may have stripped the gears out of it.

When I pull the trigger on gas Trimmer the head does not rotate?

sounds like the wire inside the two piece shaft is not making proper contact or that drive wire snapped. loosen the plastic knob and pull them apart then push the two pieces back together again. if it still doesn't spin, listen for a rattling noise somewhere inside the shaft, it could be a break.

Carburetor is probably gummed up inside. There are very fine needle-thin holes in the spray nozzel through which gas has to flow. if they are gummed up, you will have an engine that starts, but has no power. try to take the brass nozzel out of the bottom of the carburetor, it unscrews & may be kinda tight. but take it out & clean the smallest holes with a thin piece of wire. should work great after that.

My honda cb750f will not run without the choke being out

Vacuum leak.

Check all mating surfaces, any place where a vacuum line attaches, with a short spray of carb cleaner while running, when you find the leak, it will smooth out and speed up on it's own. And if EGR equipped- make sure the EGR is closing fully when cold and when hot at idle.

I have a Ryobi RLT30CESNB whipper snipper. Had it for about a year. The motor starts and runs okay. Just yesterday, all of a sudden, the head stopped spinning when I gave it some throttle. The motor still...

hello,,There are only three things to cause trimmer head not to turn.
1.Outer shaft has sliped down from engine because screw has fallen out and ring has come loose,
2.Shaft has broken due to excess stress, such as putting on a differant trimmer head or binding up,
3.Trimmer head striped.
hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you.

It turns over but it will not stay running unless foot is on gas padal. White smoke is coming from tail pipe

White smoke usually indicates a blown manifold gasket or head gasket. First, check for coolant in oil. When you pull the dipstick, is the level too high or have a foamy appearance? If so, blown head gasket. If not, spray starting fluid around intake manifold outer mating surface with engine running. ( not near throttle body or air intake) If motor revs up during procedure, locate that area you are spraying and duplicate the motor rev up. If consistent, blown intake manifold gasket. Its always good to have codes checked first if you have a check engine light illuminated....Mike

Motor works fine, but trimmer will not rotate

Have an assistant start and hold the trimmer. At idle, there should still be a little drag on the clutches to make the shaft spin on that split shaft trimmer with the accessory head removed. No need to rev it or do anything fancy, but teamwork will make it safer.

Now forget about the engine and clutches - does the accessory head spin freely when turned by hand (removed from engine still!) and with a clear rotation of the shaft end visible inside the connector socket? Is the shaft end square with sharply defines angles, or rounded off? Does swapping in a different accessory function normally and as expected?

Sometimes the nub end of the shaft wears. Worse, the socket on the engine side has eaten itself to pieces. Worse, worse yet, clutches in the engine side that engage the accessory shaft are worn and there is simply no transmission of power. Good luck, hopefully this info will set your boots in the right direction!

Weedeater starts fine but the string head will not spin. I removed the string head, and the shaft it connects to is not spinning either.

The shaft cable has either come loose at the head, or is broken at the engine most likely. Is this a 2 piece unit? If so, see if the cable turns with the grass trimmer section removed. If so, it is usually easiest to just replace the trimmer shaft section. One piece units require disassembly at the engine, and if you are not mechanically inclined, that can be a pain.

Crank shaft belt pully not turning ,engine runs fine,

Hello Gordon.
Haven't seen that happen for a while.
The harmonic balancer on your car has two pieces joined together by bonded rubber to reduce vibration. The rubber has let go and is spinning on itself.
You need to replace the balancer.
