Starting procedure

Terry: According to

  • Put on a pair of safety glasses. Remove the fuel cap from the Weed Eater and set it aside. Fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline that has been mixed with quality 2-stroke oil in a 40:1 ratio. Replace the fuel cap.
  • Move the Weed Eater to a safe place and lay it flat on the ground. Depress the fuel bulb located beneath the carburetor approximately six times to prime the engine. Press it slowly so that fuel has adequate time to traverse the fuel line.
  • Slide the handlebar-mounted engine "On/Stop" switch to the "On" position. Slide the choke lever beneath the fuel tank to the "Full" position.
  • Depress the "Throttle Lock" lever located beside the engine "On/Stop" switch. Keeping the lever depressed, squeeze the throttle trigger. Release the throttle lock. This sequence holds the trigger in the depressed position, which aids in starting the Weed Eater.
  • Roll the Weed Eater so that it is resting on the engine and the trimmer head shield only. This will allow the spinning trimmer head to avoid contact with the ground. Brace the Weed Eater by holding it to the ground with one hand. Using your other hand, pull the starter rope quickly until the engine begins to run. Do not pull the rope more than a dozen times. If it fails to start by then, squeeze the throttle trigger and continue to pull until the engine starts.
  • Allow the Weed Eater to warm up for about 15 seconds, then slide the choke lever to the "Off" position. Let the trimmer run for another minute without touching the throttle lever. After the Weed Eater has warmed up, squeeze the throttle trigger once to disengage the throttle lock. The trimmer is now operational.

Engine runs fine head doesn`t spin as engine revs

if it is a bent shaft then the cable is broken in the tube
if a straight shaft then a couple of possible items
the square drives on the end of the shaft is rounded out or the clutch is not expanding as required ( same for bent shaft)

How do i bleed air out of the coolint on a 2012 yamaha 300

Fill the rad and when nearly full squeeze the 2 main hoses a few times. Leave the rad cap off and start the engine and blip the throttle a few times then increase the revs slowly a few times do not over rev. Watch for bubbles of air escaping from the rad when this stops top up the rad to the required level replace the cap and make sure the expansion tank is at the full level. The system will expel any air left over time.

I replaced head gasket now the engine revs to full throttle

Possibly a large vacuum leak on the intake side do the cylinder head. I assume the throttle plates are closing all the way. An idle control motor stuck open. Large vacuum line to brake booster not hooked up. Just a few ideas

What did you use to clean the MAF?
You may have damaged the sensor.
I would suggest a used MAF assembly be installed and use only approved cleaners next time and be gentle when cleaning electronics.

hello,,There are only three things to cause trimmer head not to turn.
1.Outer shaft has sliped down from engine because screw has fallen out and ring has come loose,
2.Shaft has broken due to excess stress, such as putting on a differant trimmer head or binding up,
    3.Trimmer head striped.
hope this helps, any comments welcome, thank you.

BMW 650 Dakar. Sudden high revs and the engine shuts down

It would appear that you probably have a fuel starvation problem, if the engine is running normally and suddenly revs up and cuts out this points to a very weak mixture then fuel starvation. I would suggest that you clean your fuel lines and tank etc.
