I have a rear tine craftsman tiller and it keeps breaking the shear pins on the right outer tine. I have replace the pins several times. Same results. What could be causing the problem?

Hi,
The hole is worn out so the pin has room to move around inside the hole which causes excess wear on the pin...this causes the pin to break after a period of use...

The best fix would be to have the hole welded up and then redrilled to the proper size again..

Rear tine will not turn mod 21b-403-13144-0366-6 huskee

Could be the belt if it has one. If not then your problem could be as simple as a pin broken in the tine shaft. There is also a pin in a gear in the gear box also, This will require shop work.

good luck.

Most of them have a pin to lock the wheel to the axle... Check the center hub of the wheel and see if you can find some kind of hole that a pin would go in to lock axle to the wheel...

It sounds like the belt just stretched. Now you need to move the belt tensioner over to put more pressure on it.
