Knownig the speaker's brand and model might help. Presume ithhas bluetooth! Turn it on, press syns if it has this option.
You should have enable bluetooth in your iPas's setting
check if it speaker recognized by iPad and wait them to sync.
Bloutoot device might have a blinking light; should keep blinking till it pairs or reaches timeout.
