Question about Samsung Washing Machines

Our Samsung WA80G5 failed. A water inlet control valve burnt out (melted), and damaged the control wiring as well. Where do I get a proper service manual with a wiring diagram?

We are furious as this is the 3rd Samsung product that has failed, just out of warranty. The agent don't want to fix, or quote ridiculous prices. If we can't get this solved, will NEVER buy anything from Samsung ever again. POOR PRODUCT DURABILITY, TERRIBLE AFTER SALES SERVICE

My front load washing machine is working but the water don't seem to enter.

First of all check filters in hoses & water valves, if ok then water inlet valve may be burnt out. Unplug power cord, remove top panel panel, check where 2 wires go to each water valve & check that area on valves for burning. If burnt or smells of burning, replace valve. IN SOME INSTANCES A COMPONENT BURN OUT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO CONTROL BOARD.

Error code nf

The nF error means that the washer isn't filling properly. Make sure that both the hot and cold water inlets are getting water flow. (You can get all cold water washes by connecting the hot to a second cold water line.) Make sure that you have opened the shut-off valves for both inlets to the washing machine. Check that there is sufficient water pressure on both inlets. You need 20-116 psi (pounds per square inch). Use the Samsung supply hoses. Some flood safe hoses may not work (even if new); when damaged, they can completely restrict the flow of water to the washer.

Take off the hoses. Check the filters both on the shut-off side and just inside the washer and clean then of any foreign objects. This is a good time to double check the water pressure at the shut-off valves (have a bucket under the valves.) Replace the inlet hoses if they are more than 5 years old.

Check that the drain hose is not lower than the water level in the washer. This can trigger suction causing the water to flow into the washer and straight out to the drain.

Make sure that the door of the washer is tightly closed. Then press the Start/Pause button.

If the error continues, the failure could be at the washer's inlet valve, the sensor that checks the weight of the drum + water, or the wiring or wiring harness to either one of these items. The computer control board can also fail to "hear and respond" to the above. If you have water in the drum with the nF error, start checking the sensor. If no water flows into the washer, check the valve first.

I hope this helps.

The door control lights are flashing and making a clicking noise.

At the moment I would take the food and place in another freezer/refrigerator. Because the controls on the door appear to control everything and very likely you may lose control functions. I did try to pulls up the service manual for your MFI2568AES but of all places the site was not working properly. Any time you hear clicking or flashing there is usally a short circuit somewhere. I have seen this happen even in your keypad overlay=> 67006291 Keypad Overlay
This is a very delicate series of technical questions and answers here and because this appears an emergency you only may contact here free. If another technician can help with paid assistance here on Fixya then I would go for that. If they cannot help you there is no need to pay and your money is returned. I really hope something I mentioned will help get your refrigerator going and running properly. I just fear trying to help you wiith chat without your return communication, Thank You, Sea Breeze

Water doesn't flow in the machine.

HI, In most cases, this will be the result of a failed inlet assembly. Use the procedure below to confirm the damage and replace the valve assembly, if needed. If for some reason the inlet proves to be in good condition, replace the main control board or timer.

INLET TEST:

The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting good water pressure and to clear out any debris from the line.

Inspect the filter screens on both the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up. If you find any debris, clean it out. Use caution to avoid damaging the filter screens because the screens in the valve are not replaceable.

If debris was not present then proceed to the next step of testing the solenoids. Access to the valve may be easiest by opening the top or the back of the washer, depending upon make and model.

There are two wires connected to each solenoid on the water inlet valve. Label the wires and connections so that you can properly reconnect them later. The wires are connected with slip-on connectors. Firmly pull the connectors off of the terminals ( Be sure to not pull the wires). You may need to use a pair of needle-nose pliers to remove the connectors. Inspect the connectors and the terminals for corrosion. If either is corroded they should be cleaned or replaced.

Use a continuity tester or multimeter to test for continuity. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting X1. Touch one probe to each terminal. A reading of infinity indicates a bad solenoid that must be replaced. Different brands and models will have various measurements, but the valve should show some resistance if it is functioning properly. Test the second one in the same way as the first.

Hi. The inlet assembly may be damaged. Use the procedure below to confirm the damage to the solenoids. Have them replaced if the assembly fails the test below.

Water inlet valve testing procedure:

The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting good water pressure and to clear out any debris from the line.

NOTE_ Click here to access the service manual for this unit. Use this manual to help guide you through the replacement procedure of the valves. This is a universal Neptune washer manual. It will cover your unit and many more.

Hot water will not shut off.

HI. This is usually the fault of a failed water valve assembly. This device should be inspected properly for damage. it is possible that you will need to replace the entire valve assembly. To isolate the issue, follow the procedure I have provided, below.

WATER INLET VALVE INSPECTION PROCEDURE:

The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting good water pressure and to clear out any debris from the line.

Inspect the filter screens on both the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up. If you find any debris, clean it out. Use caution to avoid damaging the filter screens because the screens in the valve are not replaceable.

Will not fill up with water

HI. First you will need to check the water fill faucets to make sure that they are turned all the way on.If the faucets are on, then move on to the hoses. Check the hoses for kinks. Make sure the hoses are straight, and not curved. If all checks out Ok here, i would advise to move on to the filter screens.

The hot and cold water from your home is connect to the water inlet valve on the back of the washer. In each end of the water supply hoses there may be a filter screen to catch debris and prevent it from damaging the washer. The water inlet valve also has filter screens. If the filter screens become clogged, the result is low water pressure, no water or the wrong water temperature,as well. The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connecting to it at the back of the washer. Start by turning off the water supply at the valves on the wall. Disconnect both hoses from the back of the washer. Place the hoses into a bucket and turn them on to confirm that you are getting adequate water pressure and to clear any debris from the line.

Inspect the filter screens on both of the hoses and the inlet valve for debris build up. If you find any debris, clean it out. The screens in the inlet valve are not removable so use caution to avoid damaging them.

If you are getting good water pressure and you find no build up of debris, then the inlet valve itself may be faulty.

TESTING PROCEDURE FOR THE WATER VALVE ASSEMBLY

Replace the valve if it fails the test. If the valve and hoses are ok, this will lead to a failed control sector.(timer, or control board)

NOTE:-(The water inlet valve can be identified by the water hoses connected to it at the back of the washer.)

No water entering machine whirlpool

HI, I would start by inspecting the actual inlet water valve assembly for damage.

If the solenoid is working properly, but water leaks through the valve even when the washer is off, then the valve itself is the problem. Debris may be preventing the valve from closing. If the valve cannot be cleaned, it will have to be replaced. The valve can also fail mechanically. So even if it passes the electrical test, it may still require replacement. If you have ruled out all other possibilities, go ahead and replace the valve.

NOTE-(If The inlet is functional with not apparent damage, this will confirm that the control sector is the issue. have it replaced in this case.)

Kenmore refrigerator ice making not working

make sure that the temperature is 8 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. If the freezer is too warm, the ice maker won't cycle properly.

  • The ice maker fill tube may be blocked with ice. If so, melt the blockage using a hair dryer-but be careful to not melt any plastic parts! Also replace the water shut-off valve or water-inlet valve, or both, if necessary.

LG Dishwasher LDS5811ST 1E error code

I had a LG certified repairman come out and fix. The electrical wires within the door were melted into the "tar" (sound deafening spray) and one wire actualy sheered. Apparently the drying cycle heats the tar and the wires become embeded and melt into the tar. This is what was causing the error code. After the wire was tested and spliced everything worked great. Long term...The door/electrical harness was replaced by LG.
