The release catches are on the bottom of laptops, there's usually 2. you can tell usually by the weight which piece the battery is. Most of the batteries are removable without much effort, though some come under a plastic or metal cover like a cell phone. If you can't find the releases, then just go to the manufacturers website and look it up, or go to an electronics store and ask a clerk how to do it, most likely he or she would do it for you right there. Hope I helped. Grimm

How to change the battery on a optrel satellite welnding helmet

I open my Optrel OSE Satellite K601 hood and found they use glue on the outside edges and then a rubber compound over the electronics. Rubber compound also holds the case tight. You can gently cut a square out of the plastic case about 1-1/2" square around the information printed on the back side of the case. Under neath you will find (2) panasonic 3V button cells. Each have 2 tabs that are soldered to the board. The battery's have a plastic sleeve shielding them from the rubber compound, so they will pop out easy after removing solder and lifting tabs. Be careful heating tabs as there are some small SMD resistors and caps very close to tabs. Once removed you can by the batteries with tabs at many battery suppl stores on line and solder back in. Or do what i did and buy a double battery holder with battery clip retainers, then mount in helmet and wire it to the board. Then use epoxy to install cut out piece of plastic on case. I actually used the new plastic adhesive that uses UV light to cure (Stuff is awesome). DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN CASE!!!!! You will regret it as it took me all day to repair the damage i caused to open it. Just cut around the data on the back of the case and the battery's are under neath. Each are about the size of a quarter. Also to remove the side control panel, pull the large knob off the panel, then un-clip the back cover inside the hood, then pull out on the panel then turn it to its side and then slip it through the hole in the hood.

My 18 month toshiba satellite lap top battery is not taking a charge.

I had a similar problem with a Toshiba laptop. Problem was an issue with the bios being out of date. Go to the Toshiba website, download the bios for your model and install per Toshiba's instruction. That should fix the problem.

My battery does not hold the charge, i will charge it for 24/hour and it only last 5 minute, why is that, iI buy this product for wife when went to Iraq, and when i talked ton her on the phone three months...

NiCad batteries have this problem when they are recharged frequently after being only partially discharged. This is also the case when the batteries are left in the charger continuously - even if the charger is described as being "automatic". I have old 12v batteries that I have been using for 20 years, but I only charge them for a few hours, and only when they have run down enough to be useless. I prevent leaving them too long in the charger by using a timer that cuts the power to the charger after a couple of hours. A couple of years ago I bought new drills and chargers, and believed that the chargers would be automatic and so could be left plugged in. Those batteries only lasted a couple of years, while the old ones are still going strong. I now use the timer for any of these chargers, automatic or not - but I had to buy new batteries first. good luck, Al K

I slid the hose part way off the reservoir connection and used the extra length to make up for the portion I cut off at the cut (you may have to move the on one way vlave further down the hose). This was intended as temporary fix while mywife bought a new coffeemaker. The new coffeemaker has been itting here six months as my temporary fix continues to hold.

Please ensure that the device is receiving a charge while it is connected to the vehicle power cable. If the battery is receiving power from the vehicle power cable then the battery icon (located next to the time) would disappear from the Main Menu.
clip_image001.jpg clip_image002.jpgIf the unit does not power on while attached to the vehicle power cable please follow steps from below to perform a soft reset:
  1. Connect the device to an external power source1
  2. Slide and hold the power key to the on position for 15 seconds
The device should power on. Notes:
  1. Preferably the vehicle power cable or a USB cable from a computer
  2. Some of the older Nuvi 200 series will have a reset button on the bottom of the device. It can be found on the bottom of the device on the same sticker that the serial number is printed on.

Tom tom one not turning on used 3 months

I had some problems with the 920. It started to not turn on. The it just died completely. After opening the case and testing the battery. I concluded the battery was dead and Un-chargable.

Which is most likely the case with yours.
Try this first. Then contact customer support.
  1. Check that the battery is charged properly.
Charge your device for at least 2 hours before trying to turn it on again. Make sure the charging light on your device is on.

  2. Remove the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, remove it.

  3. Reset your device.
Use a straightened paper clip, or something similar, to push the reset button for 15 seconds. See the pictures below for where to find the reset button.

  4. Turn your device on.
Press the On/off button for at least 5 seconds.

  5. Insert the SD card
If your device uses an SD card, insert the SD card

Unless you are good with electronics. Then id change the battery myself. I used a cell phone battery.
It has worked for the last year.

Regards and I hope this helped.
