TV is flashing on and off. How do I reset to factory setting
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Service mode entry, adjust and exit procedure to many popular brand TVs are given. Never forget to exit the service mode, after all adjustments have been done.

Be careful when remove the back cover! the switch assembly is attached to the back panel, do not yank too kard to remove the back.

Ur tv the LCD inverter board it dead.The LCD inverter is the board that help the LCD screen panel to get a backlight to produce a picture,the LCD inverter board is dead and it not working anymore that why u only get 8 sec.of the picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish LCD inverter board for the replacement.It a long board in shape.

On a different Samsung TV, there is a Picture Reset in the Picture Menu on the OSD. (It's at the bottom of the list.) Similarly the sound reset is in the Sound menu. There is no global reset. (If your Samsung TV's OSD menus are different try under the Support menu.)

hi, I found the solution, and tested myself on a 3000 series LED tv from PHILIPS.
press 062596 and then press i or info button.
you will enter service mode.
go to the function number 0043(if i remember well)
this function will have the option to press ok to reset.
press ok and for a second the "press ok" message will stop from blinking, then will keep blinking.
go to the final function from the list, which is exit menu
press ok
turn off tv
when you turn it on again, the tv will be as turned on for the first time and ask you country and lenguage, etc...
