Samsung LCD TV LE40R8 - Hard Reset

I want to hard reset my Samsung to the default plug and play page I had when I first bought it. Have tried everything but I can't "unstore" the 5 national channels. Is there anything I can do? Thanks

Thanks - but what I am trying to get is the original screen when I bought it - before any of the channels were stored - the blank default screen which comes on when you first switch it on before you have stored any channels.

Thanks - but when I do this the channels are still stored. They weren't stored when I first set up the TV.

The information is not in the manual. Can anyone else help? Thanks

How do I reset the picture on my LCD TV to the factory settings?
The P.Mode button on the remote of your LCD TV lets you cycle through four factory preset picture modes: Dynamic, Standard, Movie, and Custom. To return the picture on your TV to the original factory preset, press the P.Mode button on your remote until the TV displays the Standard mode.

I have lost reception on channel 9 and pixels playing up on other channels how can I fix the problem Samsung smart tv

Do a reset to this set, and then check. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pluged in new LA32R81BDZ LCD Samsung and no plug/play menu ?

Hi,

Initially, have you tried a full hard reset? If not, pls unplug from the mains. Most current devices would reset and revert back to factory default settings (assuming no internal hardware fault) when unplugged for a considerable period of time (from a few minutes to a couple of hours).

Additionally, if you are trying to hook it up as a PC monitor, it has to be manually configured depending if the PC is a laptop or desktop.

Alternately, if you feel that something is really wrong with the unit, it may be to your advantage to return to your dealer for a replacement.

Pls post back for any development(s) or even the lack of it and/or additional information.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

There are only two types of resets. Factory reset, and Hard reset. To make a hard reset, you have to unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 20 minutes or so. Within this time it might have been resetted. To do a Factory reset, you have to enter its service mode option. Electro help . Try this link to know more. Pull up older posts. I need to reset my Samsung tablet

Soft Reset

If the device is frozen or unresponsive, try pressing and holding the Power button for about 10 seconds. This should force the Galaxy Tab 10.1 to restart normally.

Hard Reset

A hard reset will set the device back to factory default settings and erase all data on the device. This is normally done when troubleshooting methods prove to be fruitless.
1. From the Home screen, select Apps in the upper-right corner.
2. Choose Settings.
3. Select Privacy.
4. Select Factory data reset.
5. Select Reset tablet.
6. Select Erase everything.

Access Recovery Screen at Boot

You can access soft and hard reset options from the Recovery Screen before you boot into Android. Just hold down the Volume Down button while turning the Galaxy Tab on. Hold it down until you see the menu.
