The arcing noise is just that, a loose connection causing electricity to arc from one place to another. this is initiated by opening the door and closing the light switch. The small glow is from a small amount of voltage reaching the bulb. If you are inclined, repair it. remove the cover, look for the burnt wire or connection. If its a removable part, replace it. If not clean it up and/or make a new connection. One thing is for sure, it will not get any better and may get worse and burn up something more critical.

We had a similar problem and there was a broken/stripped gear in the icemaker. A&E replaced it to the tune of $150 or so. I don't recall exactly but I recall my husband thinking he could replace the entire icemaker for the price we paid to repair it. The gear make the ice tray flip out the ice once frozen. most comonly the door switch has blown. if you are not using the humid switch in the on position . condensation can build aroud doors and consiquence water gets into the switch. youll nead to unplug the unit and pull out the switch carefully not to damage the breaker strips use and olm meater to check the switch for condinuity.
