What are the volts outputs of power supply?

Hi Jhun,
As a general rule as soon as you switch on the TV, the power supply must produce stand by (sb) 5V or 3.5V as per the TV's design. Next, when you give power on command, the power supply should produce power on 5V or 3.5V, 12V and 24V or some other voltages as per the TV's design. All this is printed on the power supply pcb in most TV sets. I hope this helps.

Power supply is the suspect on this one. You will have to isolate the power supply in the unit and check the voltages on the input and the output side to verify it is or is not the problem.

My philips lcd tv does not turn on, it just blinks for 5 times and then nothing... what could be the problem?

good day if the tv won't power up then just only a blinking light from the indicator, you will need to check the power supply first. you can apply the visual checking usually bulging capacitors at the secondary filter capacitor of the power supply they are leak which need replacement. sample of bulged capacitor en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague . you can find replacement at www.digikey.com. now after you replaced defective capacitors turn on the tv unit then check all the out put voltage if normal the 5v stand by. 5v switched, 12v, and 24v for inverter ballast now if those voltage are stable i'm pretty sure your tv unit will working fine.

Daytek DT-3220 power problem

I have just fixed the power problem on my Daytek 3220. It looks like the Bentek BP-200AD power supply is used in other cheap brand TV's besides this Daytek : Hyundai HLT 3280, Jwin JV-DTV3212.

At first, my TV would just lose the backlight, while the video and sound would still work fine. Power cycling the tv would correct the issue, but would repeat the problem after shorter periods of time.
More recently, I've started losing the video and audio, shortly after backlight.

I have checked all the caps on the outputs and they all tested ok, using capacity and ESR meter (surprisingly enough) and no bulging either.

This power supply outputs 3 voltages : 5V, 12V and 24V, with a stand-by control pin on the 5V connector (0V for TV on and 5v for tv off).
I have got the readings after the power died:
5v out= 5v--ok
12vout=0.72v not ok
24vout=0.0v not ok

One of the transformers was squealing quite annoying while tv worked, but started modulating the squeal a couple of seconds before power died.

The culprit : one small electrolytic capacitor marked C19 on both sides of the board, with a value of 47uF/35v. I have replaced it a 56uF/50v and the TV started working as new (and of course no more squealing either).

Use a good quality cap when replacing C19. A 50v rated one would be a better choice than the original 35v and make sure it is also rated for 105 degrees Celsius, since it is very close to one of the heatsinks.

As always the DISCLAIMER: take all the precautions to avoid electrocution. Disconnect the TV from power, allow a few minutes for the big 400Volt capacitors to discharge completely, before handling and working on the power supply.

The TV will not come on, it acts like there is no power. I have the back off the TV, how can I troubleshoot the power supply? I do not see any test points

Look at the connectors on the dc output side for the 5vdc standby voltage, most good power supply maker will label the voltages on the connector pins. You should hook up the TV while you are working it through the GFCI outlet because of high voltage is present. Look for bad capacitors, burnt parts, poor solder joints. The 5V stnadby is needed for other circuits to work, so start with that first.

No power

Do you get any indicator lights at all? If you do, the at least the 5v standby circuit is still working. Check the power supply fuse first, then look for 5v standby voltage, if you do have the 5V, then the problem can be in the controller board not sending the ON command to the main power supply when the power switch is activated, OR the main power supply is bad. Look for bad capacitors or bad/burnt parts.

Olevia 42 inch Flat Panel has power supply issue... Blue light does not come on and tv does not turn on... I have tried all different things to get tv to work with no positive results

What did you try so far? The main power supply MUST have at least the 5V standby supply section working. This 5v is used by the main control board to send out the command to turn on the main power supply section which will power up the rest of the TV circuits when the power switch is activated either by the power button of remote or on the TV powern button. Look for this 5v first.

Philips 42PF5321D/37 Plasma No Picture Six Red LED Flashes

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

2.If stand by 5V available press power and check B+ is getting or not
3.If B+ available check Horzontal oscillation
4.May be H-out transistor or video amplifier is bad.
