It's time to clean the printhead. Use the procedure from the printer status monitor. Try cleaning several times but beware it will drain some extra ink from the cartridges. If the cleaning process will not increase the quality of print, probably you will need to replace the printhead. Before replacing printhead, remove all the cartridges and verify if all four gaskets (seals) are present on the inner bottom of the printhead. Also remove printhead, clean contacts both on the back of printhead and carriage with isopropyl alcohol. Put back printhead and cartridges and let the printer do its ink system initialization process. Then try to print your labels again. If all those attempts fails, replace printhead.

HP Photosmart B210a error message

Simple. Remove the ink and printhead. You can remove printhead by pulling gray latch up and sliding printhead up and out. Clean printhead gunk off using warm running water. Remove any ink gunk on the right side of printer if you see any. Turn printer off and on. See if problem went away. If it did, try putting the cleaned printhead inside printer again. If problem comes back, seems like the issue is with a bad printhead. Below are video instructions on cleaning head manually. The printheads are not same. B210 printhead is not the same with HP 6500, but instructions are same.

o.
Welcome to JustAnswer and thanks for asking your question.

Open the printer and remove the cartridges and printhead (you can remove the printhead by pulling up the lever on the side of the carriage, use these instructions, steps 1 and 2 only to remove the current printhead):

2011-09-05_183636_untitled.png
Then turn off the printer and unplug it, if it is connected to the computer, completely disconnect the cable

Using a q-tip dampened with warm water, clean the contacts seen both inside the printer and on the cartridges themselves. Don't clean the nozzles on the bottom of the printhead.

Keep cleaning until no ink comes off on the swab > Let them dry shortly, then reinsert the printhead and cartridges (use step 5 from the guide I posted), turn on the printer, and run another cleaning cycle, then print. Let me know the results, I'll standb

Unable to align cartridges on Canon Pixma MP600 all-in-one printer. When trying to print many black streaks obscure printed area.

This sounds like a printhead problem.
The first thing I would try is to clean the printhead. Remove the cartridges and store them (stretch a piece of plastic electrical tape over the ink cartridge hole to keep the ink from drying out).
Remove the printhead and set it in warm distilled water and let the printhead sit overnight.
Remove the printhead from the water and blot the water with a clean lint free dry cloth (do not rub the printhead and contacts, or damage could occur. Set the printhead aside to air dry.
Once the printhead is dry, reinsert the printhead, remove the tape from the ink cartridges, reinsert the ink cartridges. Test print. This should clear the problem.
We can try a more aggressive cleaning solution of the distilled water doesn't clear the problem.
Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks.

Clean the electrical contacts on the printhead and inside the product The ink nozzles on the printheads might clog if they are exposed to air for more than a few minutes or if the product is not used for long periods of time. Follow these steps to clean the electrical contacts on the printheads. CAUTION: Follow these steps carefully to avoid damaging the sensitive electrical components.
  1. Make sure that the product is turned on.
  2. Open the top cover of the product.
  3. Press and hold the OK button for five seconds. The carriage moves to the left side of the product and stops. Release the OK button.
  4. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent.
  5. Unplug the product power cord from the electrical outlet.
NOTE: Do not turn the product off by pressing the Power button (c01346625.gif ). This causes the carriage to move out of reach.
