Yes, anything is possible, especially when toyota has a lot of cars just sitting. I wouldn' worry about it this early. Could be minor sweating of the seals . If still in warranty, have the dealer look at it. Be concerned only if oil is running out or really wet. It's really your call, but seals do sweat and a little helps jkeep the seal pliant.

1995 toyota camry sways when turning

I'd be concerned a linkage has come adrift in the back end somewhere, or one of the rear struts has failed and lost its oil. Another possibility is that a rear wheel is loose, either at the wheel nuts or the hub itself.

Here is a diagram, at p 80 and p 89.

http://www.turboninjas.com/camry/sa.pdf

Have a look under there and compare it to this, try to see if anything has fallen off. Look at the rear strut towers to see if there is any fluid leak visible which might indicate one side is not functioning.

With the car jacked up, grab each rear wheel at the tread, front and rear, then top and bottom, give it a hard shake to see if you can feel any looseness.

Never get under the car when supported only by a jack of any type. Use axle stands or wheel ramps.

The rear struts on my newly purchased 89 toyota camry deluxe wagon make noise, car sat for 9 months any way to save them

No, the rear struts will have to be replaced if they make noise and it bothers you.

From a safety point of view, if they are leaking or fail the 3 bounce test after pushing down on the bumper, then they should be replaced.

Do struts have to me replaced when fluid is leaking?

no you do not! this is a congame! unless your struts do not return to full ride height in one two two bounces when you push on the front of your hood you do not need to replace them. they wear out just like shocks

Rear wheel alignment

first of all firestone are rip off artist. you got suckered. next there are struts on the back and yes you should align them however it has more to do with how the tire wears than a steering issue. with only 12,000 miles I seriously doubt there would have been a problem. my solution would have been if one of the front tires was bad i would have replaced it then took the 2 back tires and put them on front and the new tire and other front tire on the back and no alignment would have been needed unless your girlfriend would have complained about it tracking one way or the other. feel free to click on my user tab anytime you need help.... please rate this.........thanks
