It is easy to hook it to a computer and look for it as a Drive, then go into it and delete the songs you do not want.

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

The songs are in the wrong format and will require conversion to the correct file format (mp3). There are various options that are free which can convert files.

Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?

Hi,

1. Why do i get format error when i put songs from a cd on the eclipse?
= This is probably because the format that your songs are currently in is not supported by your device. Supported devices on the Mach Speed Eclipse 180 MP3 player are: mp3, wav, and wma. If your music is for example filename.cda, it won't be able to play because of the file format being .cda.

2. I also see the song on the eclipse but it says drm protected and will not play the song.
= When ripping your music, check your ripping options in whichever ripping software you are using that protecting music files is off, this may be the reason why your music cannot play - it may be protected to only play on the computer that ripped(recorded or duplicated) the song.

Hook up your mp3 player to your computer

Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.

How to delete all songs at once, it only delets one at a time?

When its plugged into the computer, open "My Computer" and find your mp3 player in the list. Open it and navigate to the music folder. When you see the list of songs, left click on one you want to delete one time to highlite it. Then when you see more you want to delete just hold down the "Shift" key and you click on them. When all the ones you want deleted are highlited, push the delete key, not the backspace key. To delete all music, click on edit at the top of the windows and click "Select All". Then hit delete.
