SOURCE: Changing fuse on Nutone Allure Ws2

Hi Mertl, I sure hope you found the solution since, but I am posting the answer for other people like me (and you) who need to find it !

The service manual says:

To replace the fuse:
1. Disconnect power at service entrance.
2. Remove filters, bottom panel, light wire harness, and air chute.

The fuse is actually right behind the fan controls, so to access it you need to disassemble everything that's in the way.

BTW, for anyone wondering if it's the fuse that's faulty, here's a clue:

If the fuse has opened (blown), the green fan-level indicators
will operate properly when the fan buttons/switches are pressed
- but the fan and lights will not turn on.

The fuse is a 5 x 20 mm, 10 Amp, Fast-Acting, 125V (min.).

Good luck all !

I am sure that part is still available, however a model number would help in locating the part. NuTone has three different Allure series. You can check here for the part this is NuTone's website

Or this company has a form to help you find the part

Lights won't turn off - everything else works fine

I have a NuTone Allure WS2 range hood. The fan works fine, so does the control board seem ok, but the lights work only intermittently. NuTone tech support said to replace the control board, which I suspect is its kneejerk response. The board costs almost $200--and for two lights???

My problem is similar to the one whose lights work, fan doesn't, but I have a feeling my problem is different.I hope simpler.

Thanks in advance for help (light) on the problem anyone can offer.

Broan allure performance ring

Hello,

Are you looking for the metal ring which goes around your blower wheel. If so, we do have it at Inventex. All it does is cut down the performance of the fan. You will also need carbon filters to absord the smell.

Check that you have not accidentaly switched the wall socket off in the cupboard above the rangehood. The slide switch could also be faulty.
