Sim card wont read

Hi,
Don't worry this is small issue:
There are reason why this will happen
1)The Sim card would have been damaged. If u see scratches on the Sim card please remove it and clean on the gold plantings and check.
2)Place the Sim card properly some time loose contact the Sim card gold plating with the phone Sim card connectors may cause it..
3)Some times your network service provider would have deactivated or is not registered on your phone.Call the network provider and say about the problem,he will solve it or he will give new Sim card for free for replacement if it damaged badly.
4)This will be last cause the phone Sim connector should be damaged.you have solder it replace it.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is
resolved or post a comment for further
assistance.

thank you for using fixya have a nice day:-)

The sim card you have has been deactivated. Once a sim card is deactivated it can not be reactivated. You can have it replaced at one of your carriers stores.

Need PUK code, T-Mobile SIM is deactivated (cancel line)

  1. Contact your cellular service provider and have it provide you with a new SIM card. Let it know your account and phone number so that it can transfer your phone service to the new SIM card.
  2. Check the manual that came with your phone to see if the SIM card is found in the standard location beneath the battery or if it's located somewhere else.
  3. Turn your phone over and remove the back plate by pushing down on the slide panel and sliding it away from you. Remove the plate and then put your finger in between the battery and the side wall. Push the battery away and pull it out of the phone.
  4. See if the SIM card has a metal covering. Remove the covering if there is one present and then pull the SIM card out.
  5. Place the new SIM card in the card holder and then snap back down the metal covering. Make sure to place the card in the same direction as the old card or your phone will not be able to read it. Put the battery back in and then place the back panel back on. Power on your phone to ensure that the SIM is working properly.

WARNING
Do not enter in any codes if the phone asks for a "PUK" or "SIM lock" code. Contact your cellular provider immediately and request the code because if you enter in an incorrect code, your SIM card will permanently deactivate itself.

My phone (A Samsung, model: SGH-A117) is asking for a PUK code and a new PIN code. I have looked on my SIM card, but there is no useful information. Please help.

PERMANENT UNLOCK CODE SAMSUNG SGH A117, T429, T729

Insert ANY unaccepted SIM card in the phone and then turn the phone on, follow the steps in 1 to 4 below to enter all the codes. The phone will states "Wrong card" at the end of step 2 and "network lock deactivated" at the end of step 4 if you do everything right so pls take your time to enter the code or follow the instruction correctly at each step. When entering some of the zeros at steps 3 and 4 your phone may display the zero as hyphen or minus (-), dont worry, just count when entering the zero to ensure you enter just the right numbers of zeros. Now let's begin... 1/ Put any unaccepted SIM card in your SAMSUNG SGH Phone, turn the phone on, it will display "WRONG CARD"

2/ At the wrong card screen, type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#

3/ Now remove the battery with the SIM card, Put the battery back and turn the phone on again without the SIM card, it will display "Insert SIM card" 4/ At the insert SIM card screen/end of step 3 above type #7465625*638*00000000#

At the end of step 4 phone will show "network lock deactivated" 5/ Now Reinsert your unaccepted card or any other unaccepted SIM card in the phone and enjoy your unlocked phone!
