you can do these following steps:

If you want to do a factory reset on your LG GW300 and you’ve lost your user code, then you have to entry into the engineering mode. In the following times, you will find it is very easy to do a factory reset without the user code.
When you open your LG GW300, Dial 1809#*500# on your LG GW300 and choose Factory reset. No code required and phone don’t ask: "Are you sure?". All settings will be reset to default values, including the user code (0000 is the default code). Good luck!

You can't just reset to default factory setting to use that phone. That phone need unlock code and you can get LG GW300 unlock code from your vendor provider with some charge up to $80 or you can buy lg unlock code from third party sites with more cheap price.

If you forgot or do not know the reset code for your LG Vu here is the way to do it. Works, just did it to mine.

To do a factory reset with your LG Vu cell phone, you must enter the Test Menu, the instructions are below.LG Phone Problem and solution

1. Dial 277634#*# on the keypad to access the Test Menu
2. Select Factory Reset
3. Select Yes
4. After the factory reset is complete, you must restart your phone for it to take full effect.
