Hi Todd:
In my experience, vice grips are a useful last resort.
Is there a head available on the bolt? If so, a socket is the preferred tool, or a box end wrench.
Have you soaked it with penetrating oil?
Counter- clockwise would be the normal direction of rotation to remove a right hand thread.
What is this bolt attached to?

How do I loosen the bolt on a Drexel saw-max

I think you mean Dremel. You have to lock the shaft by pressing the spindle lock button. There should be an Allen wrench included with the tool. Stick it into the blade bolt and turn CLOCKWISE to loosen, counter clockwise to tighten.

How to remove the washerless stem from vanity fauce

these stems get gunk from chlorine etc some how you have to get a hold of the stem and be able to apply leverage to get it out im not sure if you can turn the stem clockwise then counter clock wise all the way around while pulling up..... be careful but if you have a vice grip grab the stem then use something like a wooden spoon or butt of a hammer to pry the vice grip up i hope you turned water off at base first or you will have a mess

Bolt is stripped can get off tried penetrating oil didn't work need help

I would use a vise-grip that fits really snug and you should be able to break it loose. You will want to replace the bolt so you don't have this problem again

How replace Drive Stud & Slinger Pin part

No need to:
- cut the washer or
- remove motor

Hold washer w/ vice grips and turn stud counter clockwise with box end wrench, small crescent wrench, or another vice grip. Should turn fairly easily at first then finger loosen. A 50y/o model 541 continuously exposed to salt sea air gave no resistance at all w/ this method.

Does the bolt on the blade come off counterclockwise or clockwise.

If you are facing the blade from where the bolt is, and the blade's normal operation is to turn counter-clockwise, then the bolt will loosen counter-clockwise. This is universally true for any blade which is held on by a center bolt (table saws, grinders, etc.) This is because the motor is turning the shaft counter-clockwise, and the resistance against the blade as it does it's work is clockwise - thus tightening the blade rather than loosening it. If the blade normally turns clockwise, then the bolt will loosen clockwise.

Motor just buzzes will not rotate tried new capacitor,no help

you may have a loose coupling or drive stud. These are the items just below the jar. you can use a pair of pliers and tighten the coupling or drive stud. If it is not just loose, but stripped, you will need a new one. hope this helps

How do i remove the armrest on my winstar

The real real answer. If the threaded stud is in the armrest there is a clip at the bottom of it you have to push it up and pull the stud out with vice grips twisting as you pull out. If both the studs are in the chair you have to make sure the clip is pushed up & out of the way then simply line up the arm rest and push it on. It should clip into place. Hope that is clear enough. Also I would put some Lock Tight on the threads. (Blue)

Changing a miter saw blade

lefty-loosey (counter-clockwise). There will be space on the inside of the blade for another wrench to hold the shaft while you loosen the nut. If you've never done it, then you might want a pair of gloves; the blade might be dull on wood, but it'll be sharp on hands!

Removing bolt in agitator arm

The bolt unscrews counterclockwise. Hold the agitator by the bottom vanes. If it won',t budge try tightening it first, just a little to break it free.
