SOURCE: hobart lx 18 warewasher what hatco booster heater product compatable with it

The answer to this question will be based on the incoming water temperature that is supplied to the booster heater. The standard sizing for a booster heater is based off of a 40 degree F rise (140 degree F incoming water temperature) or a 70 degree F rise (110 degree F incoming water temperature). For a 40 degree F rise, a Hatco model C-5, S-5, or PMG-60 will supply the needed amount of rinse water for the LX-18 Hobart dishwasher. A 70 degree F rise would require a Hatco model C-9, S-9, or PMG-60 to supply the same Hobart model number.

SOURCE: Hobart Commercial Dishwasher - LX40H

Hi there,

Well problem seems in the  Timer -
Although it's uncommon, the timer or the selector switch may be defective. If so, then it cause the dishwasher to overheat, you need to replace the Timer, because it can't be repaired.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

SOURCE: pressure release keeps draining hot water

The 1/2" drain line you are referring to is probably the 3/4" line from the booster heater located to the left of the pump motor. The temperature/pressure relief valve is bad.

The booster heater could be overheating (bad thermostat), or you may not have an expansion tank on your building hot water system. The heating and explanding water in the booster has no where to expand to, causing a pressure spike high enough to pop the valve.

First, change the valve. I use a heavier-duty Watts XL40 valve, I purchase them from International Commercial Supply or Johnstone. Even if there is a cause for them to leak, once they start leaking they need to be replaced.

Once the new valve is in, power up and test the unit. Power up and fill the unit, then let the booster recover until it cycles off. Run a cycle, and check your rinse temperature. I like to see 190-192 degrees. If it went higher than 195 I'd turn the thermostat down. If it didn't shut off at all, and the relief blew, time to replace the thermostats in the booster heater.

Hobart LX 30 undercounter dishwasher, commercial Does this model require booster?

Most of the Hobart LX series of dishwashers have their own built-in booster heaters. To check for one, remove the lower front panel (2 screws). The booster heater, if present, will be a stainless steel tank on the left side. If it doesn't have a built in booster heater then it was meant to be used with chemical sanitizer instead.

WE LOST OUR MANUAL AT WORK AND HOBART LXH DISHWASHER KEEPS SHOWING DELIME , HOW CAN GET THIS GO AWAY, THANKS

Use a commercial deliming agent (like Lime Away or LSR). Remove the rack from the dishwasher and close the door. Press Off to power down the machine. Next press and hold Wash (Delime) while pressing ON. Delime should show in the display. The unit will fill with water and then flash Add and Delime. Open the door and add the deliming agent according to the directions. (The sump holds about 3 gallons of water.) Close the door and press Wash (Delime). The machine will start the wash mode for 5 minutes and then do two rinse and drain cycles. Delime symbol will flash while this takes place. When finished, the power to the control will be turned off. Check the interior of the machine for lime deposits. If needed, repeat the delime cycle. If the delime program is interrupted before it is completed, then start the delime process from the beginning.

The manuals and other documents are available to registered users of the Hobart site here: https://feg.hobartcorp.com/CookieAuth.dll?GetLogon?curl=Z2FresourcecenterZ2Fdefault.aspx&reason=0&formdir=2 . The direct link is: hobart.co.kr/install_pdf/040.pdf .

The spec sheet is available here: http://www.hobartcorp.com/products/warewashing/undercounters/lxi-undercounter/ .

I hope this helps.

Hobart LT 1 dishwasher leaving film on dishes

The machine is seldom the cause of "film". Make sure the unit is draining proper and that the fresh water supply is supplying good pressure.

Usually film is caused by using residential soap in a commercial unit. The commercial unit cycle is too short for residential soaps to dissolve and work properly. So soap ends up in your rinse water.
