Your title says camera ? but your post is in pride mobility ? but this will apply for any rechargeable batteries. the batteries could be at the end of there life ( they only charge so many times ) but cold and other things can drain them. heres a fix to try and get the full charge to stay full. you might have to do it a few times. charge batteries over night untill fully charged, prop the scooter up and jam the throttle on and just let it run flat ( anything else with full charge do the same.power on and let them run flat ) once there flat recharge again but drain the battery so it wont even light the lights.try it to see if the next charge holds ? if not try the same thing again. this is called calibrating..you might find after the first try it will hold half of its charge but will get better the more time you calibrate it. if that dose not work you will need new batteries. also try leaving them out of the item not in use to see if they drain on there own, this could give you a clue as to something being left on when there inside ? hope this helps

Camera won't turn on

Assuming you have charged the battery to full. If you did not use the camera for a long time and left the battery inside then the battery terminals may have corroded.

Check user manual for possible problems with battery when left for long periods without charging.

I can't open my camera

If you left batteries in the camera...chances are they have leaked and now are corroded. The only thing that I can suggest is you take a very small flat tip screwdriver and try to pop it open. Be very careful not to set the camera on your lap while doing this, you'll want to set it on a hard smooth surface, and in case the batteries are leaking put the camera on a plastic bag.

How do I check the battery is charging on my nv8 camera

While using the camera, you can see the battery logo on the screen.
When the logo is white, the battery is full, after a while 1/3 will be dark. little longer, 2/3 and when the battery is (almost) flat it is complete dark. Then you must stop shooting and recharge the battery.
On the end of the charging cable, the plug that goes into your camera, has an indication light.
As long as the battery iOS charged, the light will be red. When the battery is fully charged, the light will be green. But if it starts flashing, something is wrong with the battery. Or at least the charging went wrong.
When you are using the AC adopter, an orange led can come on on the cable, meaning the battery is discharged.

The re-chargeable battery in my M1063 Kodak Easyshare camera went completely flat, because I forgot to check the battery level. When I recharged the battery, the date now shows January 2008 instead of...

Press MENU, use left/right to select Setup (the wrench), use up/down to select "Date&Time".

It's in the "Customizing Your Camera" section of the manual.

Won't work

Are you sure the battery is charged ? i have seen many Casios that do not recharge fully if the camera is left for long periods with the battery flat - the battery goes below the 'float' level and the charger does not work. See if you can borrow another battery or use a generic charger that does not look at the battery level. A good camera shop should be able to help.

My lithium ion battery will not recharge

How long was the battery left in a flat condition?
Usually a flat battery does not damage the camera unless the dead battery leaks fluid inside the camera and causes corrosion problems.
Try a new battery and check the charger with a multi-meter, the voltage of the charger should be slightly higher then the voltage that is printed on the label on the bottom of the charger.

Battery ( 6 volts ) is situated in front on the left hand side. Small hinged door will pop open if you unlock at the bottom corner. Clean contacts before installing a new battery.

It is likely the battery has gone flat again. Rechargeable batterys do go flat if not used promptly Or if you left it charging all that time -destroyed it self. Go for a new battery.
