Question about Eclipse Fit Clip Plus 8GB* MP3 Player

1 Answer

Can you format this device? I can't delete some songs that have garbled titles.

I tried to delete songs with garbled titles, but there must have been something wrong with the initial transfer, so I formatted it. Now I have added songs, but the device doesn't see them. I can only see them when it is connected to the computer. Can I fix this?

Eclipe is GARBAGE. IT'S NOT THE TRANSFER, it has bad memory. If still in warranty, take it back, else get a new player, but NEVER AGAIN an Eclipse!

Iriver E10.....wont play songs

well it seems you deleted your songs but not the titles. weird huh but that happened to me too. so hook it up to your computer, go to " my computer", and then right the icon that is your device, and then click format and that should take care of that.

I have titles out of sequence with actual songs. How do I change song titles, or delete songs once transferred to I Tunes

My advice would be to reconnect the device onto your computer and remove all the songs into a folder or they will show up on windows media player, then re load or sync them back into the device again, this should take care of it .

My sansa e250

If you want to delete EVERY track off the player, then reformat the player in Windows Media Player - it's a shortcut - see my "tips and tricks" on formatting mp3 players

If there are artist, album traces, then you need to click on every subfolder under your device in Windows Media Player and delete every trace that way - tedious, but effective

There are 2 ways to format an mp3 player - if you were formatting the mp3 player from "My Computer," then try reformatting from Windows Media Player instead - I have a "tips and tricks" entry on How to Format an Mp3 Player for details

If that doesn't work, then double-click on My Computer, double-click on the Sansa player, and go to the various folders that it lists - music, voice, etc. Delete the songs ONLY - do not delete the dat, bat, ini, inf, or other system files

Having issues

This problem is well known for mp3 players the solution is to do player updates.

If that doesn't work format your mp3 player by going on to the software you tranfer songs to the payer with and formatting from there (not deleting the songs) do it the correct way which should work.

If there isn't a format option on the software go to "My Computer", look for the device on there preferably called "Removable device" make sure it's the mp3 player right click on it and click "Format", once format is complete do player updates then use it as you would and see if the problem has be fixed.

Good luck. Hope my solution helped.

My sansa is messed up

It is referring to the "database", or the menus on the device. (i.e. - songs titles, music, artists) It needs at least 6MB of free space on the device to create this. If you freed up what you think is 6MB, it may not be enough. Even though you have a 2GB player, there is only 1.85 of usable space on it. So try deleting some more tracks. If not, format the device and start over. Right click on the device in My Computer and select format. Best of Luck.

I don't know how to delete songs

Go to Windows Media Player under the Sync tab, over on the far left should be the name of the player, click on it and find the name of the song by album title, artist, or whatever, click on the title and click delete and you should be able to delete any song you like without deleting them all
