The water intake valve may have failed

some machines have hot and cold some cold only

a few things can cause this

you need too first isolate the water supply and remove the two or one intake pipes from the machine

inside the valve {outside at the pipe screw on}
is a plastic screen
you need to use a pair of plyers and pull it or them out and clean them

if this fails them perhaps the valve solenoid coils or coil have failed

or worst case is the controller board drive circuit for the solenoid and perhaps the solenoid also has failed

so using a multimeter set too 20K ohm range
you can unclip the wires from the valves and check the coils
are a circuit should show something between 5K and 15K
ohms
so...

my guess is the solenoid intake has gone open circuit {common issue}
or the bad one is both the valve and driver on the control board both have failed caused by shorted turns on the valves solenoid

good luck and lets see
please post the result

and remember if you need parts get them from ebay

AMD 121 won't shut off, or change cycles. Continuously "hums".

Did you try just unplugging from the wall outlet, and let sit for 15 seconds and plugging back in. Sort of like a re-boot on the computer? Just a suggestion.

My wahser just stopped working it filled with water and then started agitating and then all the sudden stopped please help

When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water

    Won't stop filling. When I go through the cycles it continues to fill until I reach the final spin cycle then it will start draining and spin out.

    Two common problems for this simptom:

    If water stops filling when you disconnect the washer:
    Change the pressure switch.
    If water keeps coming in after you disconnect the washer:
    Change the water valve.

    Washer continues to work even if water is not filled to top and even if i try to stop continues to spin

    A defective pressure switch can interfere with the cycles that depend upon the switch to indicate when water has filled or emptied from the tub. It can also result in underfilling or overfilling of the tub. The switch routes current from the timer control to the temperature switch and the water inlet valve when the tub needs to be filled. Once full, the pressure switch cuts the current and reroutes it to the motor on the timer control to continue the cycle.
