Take your computer to a store like best buys Geek Squad to have it verified compatible. A 2GB video card might not work for what you need it to.. A equal blend or processing speed and memory on a video card will be a better need for your use. Make sure you have somebody give you a honest idea of your needs.. Free of course.
They want you to buy.. so no charge for them to give a professional answer. OH! And chances are, you will have to buy a higher WATT power supply.

Hope this helps..

First of all should check if on-board slot corresponds to that of the video card
Then check compatibility of video card with your motherboard but need model of both.
After you'd installed it you should modify BIOS settinngs

How to add a second monitor to my aspire az1620

If the graphics card has only a single video connection then it is not possible to add a second monitor.
If it has two video connectors the you can add a second monitor otherwise you need to replace the existing video card with one that supports dual monitors..

I have a Gigabyte GA-K8VM800M Motherboard with 2gb ram. I want to disable the onboard graphics card and add another VGA card. Which card should I go for?? Will adding VGA card, show physical memory as 2gb...

Hello you can download the manual, and drivers here:

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=1810#manual

You can add a graphic card 1 x AGP slot (8x/4x-AGP 3.0 compliant), supports 1.5v display card only.
And Max capacity: Up to 2GB DDR400 RAM by 2 DIMM slots.

ATI/AMD makes very good graphic cards.

Adding a graphic card on the mainboard will not slow the physical memory. It has it`s own ram.

Good luck

Video card acer am1100-b1410a

Since most modern motherboards with on-board graphics are designed to switch automatically to a PCI / PCIE add-on card, you have already sort of answered your question. In many of theses situations, if the motherboard's on-board video has failed and it has not provided you any indication that it knows the video has failed (POST codes), then it will most likely not know that you have installed the add-on card and make the switch.

Yes, your mainboard supports up to 2GB of DDR memory. That does not change if you add a graphic card. Windows XP 32 bit can actually address up to 4 GB of total memory including CD, hard drives, and video cache.
Note: Your mainboard only supports up to 2 GB, but newer boards can support much more memory, up to 16GB of RAM.
If you could install 4 GB of RAM in your machine, it would still work, but windows would only address as much RAM as it can use; the rest would go unused, so it would probably show up as 3.5 GB of RAM then.

How to upgrade the video card?

You will have to add a new card to the motherboard. Open the cover and insert the new card in a slot and close the cover. Run Windows. Run the driver CD of the new card to install the drivers . From Control Panel->System->HW->Device Manager select the old card and disable it. Also check if the new card shows. Reboot the computer and connect the video cable to the new card. Your new card is functional now. Go to Control Panel->Display->Settings and configure Colors and Resolution of the new card.

Nikon digital camera coolpix L22.Does it have memory card? and can we add on video facility? Thanks

The L22 does not include a memory card in the box, though some retailers may bundle one. It can use any SD card up to 2GB in size and any SDHC card up to 32GB in size. It also comes with video capability, though it's not up to the quality of a "real" video camera.

Grapghics card or ram?

No need for extra memory, your onboard video card is truly ancient- replace it with the best PCI-E video card you can buy.
