Home depot, but they are doing away with them and replace them with LED. The reason is because of the mercy in the bulb.

Hi My VP930b has ared tint on DVI and on D-sub 1 and 2 tried an other computer, cables, reset ect.

A red/pink streaks or tint is a indication that the CCFL lamp about to fail. The CCFL lamp is a mini fluro tube. The wires on existing CCFL lamp requires unsoldering and the new CCFL lamp soldered back on to these wires.
Replacement CCFL lamps for your model monitor are available from this WEB site.

Faulty Laptop LCD screen

FAULTY LAPTOP LCD DISPLAY
You may have a faulty inverter or defective CCFL lamp. A faulty CCFL lamp may have the following symptom: Screen flashes on and off or displays reddish pink hue. Picture stays on in red and slowly be come normal. Picture flickering and/or with dim display or appear black. Picture flickers on and off. All these symptoms indicate that the LCD backlight lamp (CCFL Lamp) has reached the end of the life and all you need to do is replace the CCFL lamp.
To determine if the video card or the LCD is faulty, connect an external monitor to your laptop and power the monitor up first then the laptop, if you see the normal Windows images then the video card and laptop is OK and the problem is definitely the backlight. Dim image and/or dark display on the laptop's LCD screen indicates a faulty LCD backlight or a faulty inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp. Usually the CCFL lamp fails before the inverter.
The inverter can be replaced easily but the CCLF lamp is more time consuming and requires soldering skills.

My screen goes blank when monitor is turned on.power light on monitor stays on. What is the problem?

If you look at the screen at a sharp angle and you see a faint Windows image then the problem is a back light fault. This fault can be caused by a faulty inverter board that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp OR the CCFL lamp is faulty. The CCFL lamp is a very small diameter fluro lamp/tube and just before they fail completely they product a pinkish light.
Replacement inverter and CCFL lamp are available from this WEB site.

My screen shuts on and off even thif its still on

The fault could be a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp.
The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp, if faulty the CCFL lamp can flicker or not light up. The CCFL lamp is a mini fluro lamp, and flicks on and off when faulty especially as it ages.

No video on Compaq presario C306

When the backlight is black ie. the CCFL lamp is not illuminated that means the CCFL lamp is dead (it is basically a very small fluro tube) or the inverter is faulty and it is unable to supply high voltage to the CCFL lamp.
make sure the inverter is firmly seated and connected.
Check the wires to the CCFL lamp, there is a couple of wires from the inverter to each end of the CCFL tube.
Check the CCFL lamp voltage on the inverter it should be 100 - 150 volts.
