Hi Barry,
Before replacing the power supply did you confirm that there was "power on" command from main board? Many a times this happens that the main board does not deliver this command and the set does not power on. Good Luck.

The tv doesnot turn on

either the lamp needs to be replace which eventually happen in all rear projection tvs. Do you have colored lights, flashing lights on tv? It is also very possible that the power supply may need to be replaced. If you have colored or flashing lights, please let me know which ones they are and if they are a solid light or flashing and how many times it flashes.

If the tv has sound no picture, than it is your lamp. If you have nothing what so ever, than your power supply may have to be replaced.
