Replace burnt power cable

You can replace it with the average extension cord as most can hold up to 12 amps and your freezer will pull 2-5. Just cut the extension cord to length and cut before where the wires are burnt out. Strip wires and connect black to black, white to white and green to green. Marrett each section of wires and plug it in. If you use electrical tape to make a bundle with the Marretts afterwards that will make sure there is less of a chance the Marretts will fall off.

good luck

Burnt power cord

Is it burnt at the plug or near the box. It probably is old and worn out. I would replace it from the receptacle back to the box itself.

My Makita circular power saw works then stops working, then starts again. Why is this happening?

Things to check: With the saw running, safely grab the cord by the boot and pull and twist it around. This is where a break frequently occurs inside the cord and when the saw is held in certain positions the break will either open or close. If the cord's OK, unplug the saw and remove the brush caps and check the brushes. If the brushes are less than 1/4" long or the springs are burnt or broke they won't make good contact with the armature. If the cord & brushes are OK your next recourse is to replace the switch (Makita PN 651172-0).

The fridge stopped working. what to do. its three years old

It could be due to following reasons 1 There is no power supply. Check the power cord and the plugs. Ensure that there is bend/breakage in the power cord. Ensure that the plugs are connected properly with the cord. If the lamp inside the fridge is lighting that means the power supply is OK. 2 The compressor has stopped functioning or burnt due to overload. 3 The gas has leaked out. You must have noticed less cooling over the months. 4 Check the thermostat switch.
For 2 & 3 you will have to call a technician. I hope you have been carrying out the servicing once a year.

Trimmer won't operate, is less than year old. Connect to cord and won't operate

Try something else (a lamp) in the extension cord. If ok, the case must be opened to expose the wiring. Check for 110-120 volts AC at the cord ends. If nothing, the plug end may have a broken wire. Cut back the end somewhat and install a new plug or just replace the power cord. If still nothing, remove the power connection and ohm-check the switch and motor. The switch should read zero ohms when on and the motor will usually read less than 20 ohms if good. If either reads infinity, replace the switch if so, and check the motor brushes for sticking or bad springs.Hope this makes sense and helps!
